May not be best place to ask but is there any way to prevent telegram banning business accounts that highly rely on voip numbers?

Today we lost high number of accounts on telegram in same day. All were running on same network in office.

You can still take screenshots before it's deleted. Or if your phone is offline, it doesn't delete messages locally if your chat Partner deleted them.

See, I was very against the feature at first. And yes of course people can delete proof later on. On the other hand I also found myself in the need to delete my messages from another person's device in the past. There are arguments for both ways and against both ways on how to handle message deletion.

Honestly I am 70% happy that they added this feature and 30% mad. The positive aspects outweigh the negative ones for me personally.

…or you could just delete your own message for both sides later, not having the other side be able to decide it for you.

If anything, that puts a bigger risk of them deleting messages you’d want to stay up as proof for you, without your consent

So what you are saying is once regular group upgraded to supergroup, then everything gets deleted, right?

As I see regular groups support up to 200 members and to have more members group needs to be converted to supergroup. But this cause all messages being deleted 🤔.
Another thing I noticed there is no option to convert group to supergroup (at least in my tg client 11.1.267602 AppStore), looks like only thing to do this is by enabling topics? Sorry but looks like there many things wrong with this, it doesn’t even ask confirmation when enabled topics (users may accidentally click on it without knowing its outcome).

Idk. I don't think that the result came just from "less knowledgeable" people. I guess there are also many people who really do want such a feature.

As I said, I understand both arguments and with a feature like that you won't ever get everyone on your side. No matter how you build such a system, you will always have someone that's facing some disadvantage compared to the other way.

Well, Telegram is also used by a lot of people from repressive countries. In some countries you go to jail for being gay or other things. Telegram thinks that both participants own the chat and both participants should be able to delete the chat - for both parties.

Imagine you texted your friend about something that's illegal in your country - but is seen as legal in the majority of the world and then you're being arrested. Your friend can delete all the messages from their own phone but also from yours to protect both of you.

after you make a group just enable history visibility immediately to convert it to supergroup when it's still empty

enabling topics converts your regular group to a super group, yes but a lot of other actions can also convert your regular group to a super group too, like changing history visibility or setting a title for an admin etc

Maybe offtopic but how telegram reviews reports? I reported group that’s promoting ponzi scheme few weeks ago, but that group is still there scamming people.
