How does "Last seen" feature work in telegram?

I have telegram premium and hide all my last seen settings. But my friends who have premium can still see my online status but I can't see them. Is there any information about how does this even work ?

hey 👋🏻 i wanna ask, i’m gonna install Sonoma 14.4 beta 4, and is it necessary to backup my mac? cuz i dont have any hard disks to backup on. will it cause any problem in the future if i install this beta without backup? i hope that my mac wont reset and stuff like that, so could you answer 🙏🏻

My Telegram channels no longer show me Public shares.

On telegram channels you can go to "statistics" and see who shares your posts. It will tell you how many private shares, and how many public shares, and on the public shares it will actually show you what channels actually shared your post.

I can still see these public shares under statistics on my iPhone. I no longer can on my MacBook. It's been that way for a little bit now.

Downloaded a bunch of files from telegram... The problem is: even if I go to my download folder and delete a certain file, then go to the trash and permanently erase it, it still does not go away. In the group under the file name it still appears "show in finder", if I click it, the document opens instantly, I don't have to download it again, so it has not been truly deleted. Taking up space!! Help me, pls.

I try your suggestion, I have two accounts and I log out 1 of it and it works, the folder size is reduced. So basically the telegram key file in group container folder will increase as we add account in the telegram macos

If you delete account- then your account will be removed. And I also guess that other files/folders are related to cache.

Hey people! I am using Telegram for Mac OS, directly downloaded from telegram.org - not the App Store version.

I took some photos with in app camera (from the attach menu > camera). Now the photos taken stays in the recents. How do I clear that? I tried clearing caches and even uninstalling the whole app and files. For some reasons, the photos stays in the recents. Any idea to clear those pics? Thanks!

There you can delete cache or media from specific chats if you scroll down.

I can see the translation button in tg for macos, but it cannot translate the messages I send myself. The telegram client downloaded from the app store can translate all messages sent by both parties in the chat, but its translation button is missing. sounds really interesting lol 😂
