Over the years, he and another officer conducted detailed surveillance of Fordow, the heavily fortified uranium enrichment site buried deep beneath a mountain near Qom. The officer studied its geological structure, air shafts, tunnel layout, and equipment movement and reported it was intended for weapons-grade enrichment.

➡️ At the time, the U.S. lacked a weapon capable of destroying such a deep underground site. Working closely with the Pentagon, the officers contributed to the development of the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, specifically designed for hardened bunkers like Fordow.

➡️ After 15 years of preparation, President Trump ordered the strike.
