But there’s no news regarding SYN&CX swaps to the new hypercall coin until the next governance proposal.
Is that about right?

Should be very soon (like this week), but "live" will probably look like an incremental rollout moreso than a monotnic switch from "testnet to mainnet".
That means:
1. whitelist + deposit cap
2. deposit cap
3. mainnet
The idea here is we can continue to iterate into product-market-fit before spending a ton of time on:
• Security (as an example, we spent $500k on audits before deploying Synapse because of total TVL). If we have smll tvl, that's not as big of a problem since we can just refund
• Decentralization: see point above. We're very serious about building the worlds largest options venue in a decentralized way. We're less serious about doing that before we know our product is something people want to use. Hypercall will remain in stage 0: https://l2beat.com/stages until we have traction and we will be transparent about our centarlization factors. That does not mean we will not decentralize, but we are not going to spend resources there on a product no one wants
• Liquidity: This is actually a big one. Options liquidity is particularly hard because of the instrument count. Let's say you want to launch a perp exchange with BTC. You launch BTC-PERP and you're done. With options you've got to launch hundreds of "instruments" (put/call, strike, date). Fragmenting liquidity is a real concern here and it's why we've built RPI: https://docs.hypercall.xyz/docs/venue-rules/order-priority/#limit-orders RPI effectiely takes the best of Ostiums RFQ model (see: https://members.delphidigital.io/feed/ostium-venue-choice-drives-real-pnl) and Hyperliquids on-chain price discovery. The novelty is definitely a bit tough for market-makers though and while we expect them to integrate, we first need to prove that there is retail demand for options on RWAs on chain. We think we can do this, but it's not really possible to do if one guy goes on and takes all our liquidiy in a single clip
Anyway, that's how we think about it so first version of "mainnet" will probably be 1-2 ppl w/ 1-2 new ppl added per day until we have confidence in our systems.
