Shrapnel from a US shell used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was found on the territory of Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant
Fragments of a shell from an American M777 howitzer were found during technical works in the Zaporozhye NPP splash pool - this directly proves that the Ukrainian Armed Forces regularly shell the plant — as this weaponry is used by Ukrainian fighters.
Several times, the Russian side has stressed the danger of shelling the ZNPP, but for the Ukrainian side, which is ready to go even for an ecocide, it is apparently just empty noises. The continuation of attacks on the plant could lead to serious consequences that would affect absolutely everyone.

Ukraine Hits Flood Shelter With UK-Supplied Missiles — Kherson Official
Ukrainian forces have attacked several temporary shelters for people evacuated in the wake of the Kakhovka dam breach, the Kherson region’s acting governor, Vladimir Saldo, said on Saturday morning, sharing pictures of the devastated facility.
The strike on the shelter on the left bank of the Dnieper River was carried out around 5 am local time, allegedly using British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles, Saldo said in a statement. According to preliminary information, there was at least one casualty, a woman.
The Black Sea village of Zhelezny Port also came under “fierce shelling” overnight, with a local hotel hosting the evacuees “destroyed,” according to the official.

#Opinion by Maria Zakharova
💬 The "Big Bad Kuleba", the Foreign Minister of the Kiev regime, has rejected a proposal from international organisations to conduct an independent investigation into the Kakhovskya hydroelectric dam explosion. Only this time, he used rude language on air speaking to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who had called Zelensky the day before and proposed creating an international commission to investigate the collapse of the Kakhovskya hydroelectric dam involving experts from Russia, Ukraine, the UN and Turkey.
Kiev’s odious Permanent Representative to the UN Sergey Kislitsa expressed the same idea in New York, saying that the investigation was “impossible.”
Why am I not surprised? Too obvious. The Kiev regime never even gave the UN the lists of persons it declared dead in Bucha. Fat chance they’ll want an investigation of the terrorist attack on a power plant!
Moreover, who are the terrorists and their sponsors, and who wants an investigation? Remember how the United States and their vassals blocked the Russian resolution at the UN, which called for an independent investigation into the explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines?
An investigation would have stuck in Zelensky's throat. According to Kislitsa, the Kiev neo-Nazis need to reach the other side of the Dnieper. Preferably, it seems, on the Leopards and Abrams.
But I hasten to reassure the Kiev “diplomats”: don’t worry, this terrorist attack is already being investigated, and those who have stepped out of line won’t get to the other side.
NATO Gave Consent To Kherson Dam Blast, Is To Bear Responsibility - Russia
Russia says the devastating flooding in the Kherson region was exacerbated by Ukrainian authorities releasing water at the Dniepr power plant under their control, which Moscow says was ultimately approved by NATO.

🇷🇺🇹🇷📞 President Vladimir Putin and President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a phone conversation.
The Presidents continued to discuss topical issues of Russian-Turkish cooperation. They expressed mutual confidence that a multifaceted and mutually beneficial partnership in various spheres would continue to develop dynamically. In this context, they noted their commitment to the consistent implementation of joint projects in energy, trade and tourism.
A range of international topics was also touched upon, including further coordination in multilateral organisations.
The Presidents discussed the situation around Ukraine. Vladimir Putin stated that the Kiev authorities, at the suggestion of their Western handlers, were still making a dangerous bet on the escalation of hostilities, committing war crimes, openly using terrorist methods and organising sabotage on Russian territory. A clear example of this was the barbaric action to destroy the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in the Kherson Region, which resulted in a large environmental and humanitarian catastrophe.
🤝 The President of Russia once again congratulated his Turkish counterpart on his official assumption of office. The two leaders agreed to maintain a regular personal dialogue.
Minsk Agreements Allowed Me To Arm Ukraine — Ex-President
Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has boasted about his role in rebuilding his country’s military under cover of the Minsk Agreements in an interview with the Corriere della Sera newspaper. The Minsk agreements were adopted soon after Poroshenko took office in June 2014 and were supposed to de-escalate the conflict in the Donbass.
Instead, Poroshenko told the newspaper that his government had opted for a military buildup with the help of foreign sponsors. “Do you know how many battalions I had north of Kiev when I became president? Zero. What about the state budget? Below zero. What about working tanks? A pittance,” the former leader said.
“Immediately after the signing, I invited NATO instructors and bought weapons and vehicles. During my presidency, we built an army,” he declared. The former president insisted that this had allowed Ukraine to prepare for the current confrontation with Russia.

⚡️ Foreign Ministry statement on the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant by the Ukrainian armed forces
We strongly condemn the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant by the Ukrainian armed forces that has led to a devastating humanitarian and environmental disaster.
Bombing the dam has led to a significant rise in the water level downstream of the Dnieper River. Entire neighbourhoods were flooded, and thousands of people had to be evacuated. The evacuation is already underway.
This act of sabotage by the Kiev regime has caused devastating damage to the farmland in the region and the ecosystem at the mouth of the Dnieper River. The inevitable drop in the water level of the Kakhovka reservoir will affect Crimea’s water supply, and will hinder the improvement of agricultural land in the Kherson region.
This is a terrorist act directed against purely civilian infrastructure. It was planned in advance by the Kiev regime for military purposes as part of the Ukraine forces’ “counteroffensive.” The Kiev regime not only launched mass artillery attacks against the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, but also deliberately brought the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir to a critical level by opening the Dneprovsk Hydroelectric Power Plant’s floodgates.
The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on this act of terrorism that has led to significant property damage and other grave consequences.
☝️ The Russian side will initiate a discussion for considering this crime by the Kiev regime in the UN Security Council, the statutory and decision-making bodies of the OSCE and other international organisations.
❗️ We call on the international community to condemn the criminal acts committed by the Ukrainian authorities, which are becoming increasingly inhumane and pose a major threat to regional and global security.

❗️The decision to sever the decades-old sister city ties with St Petersburg 🇷🇺 diminishes the standing of Melbourne 🇦🇺 as the cultural heart of Australia and a renowned centre of the world’s culture. It was under the sister cities agreement that masterpieces from Hermitage were brought to the National Gallery of Victoria in 2015, or concerts of Russian music and the Dostoyevsky Museum exhibition organised in 2019, to mention but a few events.
Punished by this act of empty virtue signalling over Ukraine are, in fact, Melbournians.
It appears that the City Council has ceded to arms twisting from a few dozen of pro-Ukrainian activists who most probably never read a book by Dostoyevsky. Why should they? According to recent reports, 11 mln copies of Russian books have been extracted from Ukrainian libraries and destroyed as a matter of government policy.
Aggressive ignorance and narrow-minded xenophobia are inherent in the Kiev regime. It was precisely ultra-nationalistic slogans of ‘Ukraine for Ukrainians’ and persecution of the Russian language and culture by the 2014 Maidan coup leaders and their successors that led to the current tragic conflict.
It is concerning to see those evil ways introduced, moreover, arrogantly imposed in multicultural Australia.

No matter how hard Western sponsors may strive to saturate the Kiev regime with weapons in order to inflict the maximum possible harm on Russia, their efforts are in vain. Even more people will perish, if they continue doing this. Unfortunately, the Kiev regime will not calm down and will continue to perpetrate extremist and terrorist attacks all over the world.
#Moldova
Unlike the collective West, Russia is not interfering with Moldova’s internal affairs. It is not asking for anything, nor is it suggesting that it changes or rewrites anything. Russia does not come up with any pre-conditions. Russia complies with existing agreements and works to promote the relations that have not yet been blocked by Maia Sandu and her team. Unfortunately, Russia is witnessing a situation where the people that came to power in Chisinau under completely different slogans are destroying the country.

🗓🎉Today we celebrate the Russian Language Day!
6 June is the birthday of the great Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin who is considered the father of modern Russian literature. UNESCO established this day in 2010.
On the occasion here are 1⃣0⃣ facts about the Russian language:
1⃣ With more than 258 million total speakers worldwide Russian is the world's seventh-most spoken language by number of native speakers, and the world's eighth by total number of speakers.
2⃣ Russian is an official language in Russia🇷🇺, Belarus🇧🇾, Kazakhstan🇰🇿, and Kyrgyzstan🇰🇬, and is commonly used as a lingua franca in Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Tajikistan and Israel. There are also numerous Russian speakers in the United States, China, Poland, and Finland.
3⃣ According to the 2021 Census there are nearly 55 000 Russian speakers in Australia🇦🇺.
4⃣ Along with Chinese, English, French Arabic and Spanish Russian is one of the official languages of the United Nations🇺🇳.
5⃣ Russian is the language of space🪐🛰! It is one of two official languages aboard the International Space Station. Part of training to become an astronaut (really we should say cosmonaut) even includes doing a homestay in Moscow to learn local lingo.

9⃣ The word "vodka" (Russian: во́дка) derives from the word "voda", which means "water".
🔟 Some English words do not exist in Russian. For example, «Grandparents»! Russians would call them separately - ‘babushka’ and ‘dedushka’.

⚡️ On new facts of global surveillance by the United States
The Russian authorities have uncovered new facts of the US special services using American IT companies for global surveillance of US and other countries’ citizens. In this instance, they used the software vulnerabilities of US-made smartphones.
This fact has conclusively proven what Moscow has been speaking about for a long time, namely, that the US intelligence services have been using IT giants for decades to collect internet users’ personal data without their knowledge. More evidence of this illegal activity comes to light every year.
Time and again, we addressed the concerned international platforms on the need to restore order and formulate the universal rules of conduct in the digital environment based on respect for the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals and the sovereign equality of states. In January 2021, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation adopted a Statement on the violation of the freedom of speech principle by US global IT companies and on drafting an international convention to regulate their operations. Practice has shown that Washington is not ready to consider our proposals.
❗️ The United States has placed itself above the law. We have provided the UN with ample evidence of the double standards that country and its special services and companies have been using in the sphere of international information security (IIS).
We once again call on all the concerned parties to formulate clear and fair regulations in the digital sphere that would be binding for all states and especially ICT designers. This is the goal of the initiatives Russia has advanced within the framework of the UN Open-Ended Working Group on IIS. <...>
☝️ No state has a right to abuse its technological capabilities in a sensitive sphere such as access to the personal data of smartphone users.
