In a three-hour interview with "Channel 5" on YouTube, Hunter urged protesters across the U.S. to unite against American involvement in Gaza and denounced what he described as "genocide" against Palestinian civilians.

A Call to the Leaders and Rulers of Our Arab and Islamic Nations:

Our Palestinian people are dying of hunger. The time has come to break the shackles, open the crossings, and rescue the starving in Gaza.

As famine in the Gaza Strip enters dangerous and unprecedented stages—after nearly five months of complete closure, and the deaths of nearly one hundred civilians, including eighty children, due to starvation and malnutrition, in addition to a thousand martyrs who were killed by occupation bullets at aid checkpoint gates—while the world watches this humanitarian tragedy managed by the occupation without lifting a finger, we in the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas affirm the following:

• We are astonished at the official Arab and Islamic silence in the face of the systematic genocide and criminal starvation taking place in the Gaza Strip. We emphasize that the reactions and positions expressed do not rise to the level of the catastrophe faced by 2.25 million people.

• This deafening silence dashes the hopes of our oppressed people in the leaders of the ummah, and encourages the war criminal Netanyahu to continue his policies of starvation and extermination against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

• Our people are being starved and deprived of water, while thousands of aid trucks pile up on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing, at a time when the occupation government imposes a criminal mechanism of killing and humiliation in managing the starvation.

• While we decry the failure to implement the resolution of the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit held in Riyadh in November 2023, we call for an end to the silence and the adoption of a historic stance—by activating all pressure tools to stop the starvation policy, break the siege, and immediately allow the entry of aid.

• We call on Arab and Islamic countries to sever all forms of relations with the fascist occupation entity, close embassies, expel Zionist ambassadors, cancel all forms of normalization, and isolate and reject this criminal entity as a first step toward deterring it and forcing it to stop its crimes against our oppressed Palestinian people.

Fox News: Ayatollah Khamenei has said "Death to America," and this means "Death to Trump." This statement was made by the Supreme Leader of Iran. Also, an Iranian crowdfunding campaign known as "Blood Covenant" claims to have raised money for a $40 million bounty on Trump. This campaign started after several media outlets or institutions affiliated with the Iranian government issued death sentences against Trump. Therefore, it can be understood why the U.S. government interprets these signals as signs of Iran's attempt to carry out an assassination.


Araghchi: I think all of this is propaganda. We have always said—and this has been repeatedly stated by the Leader and other official authorities—that the slogan "Death to America" actually refers to the policies of the United States, not to the people of that country. Some individuals or extremist groups, whether inside or outside Iran, may make extreme statements like the ones you mentioned, but this has never been, is not, and will not be the official policy of the Islamic Republic. We have no policy to assassinate anyone abroad, let alone the president of another country.

25 countries, including Britain, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Japan and France, issued a joint statement calling for an end to the war and for humanitarian aid to be allowed into the Gaza Strip. “The suffering of civilians in Gaza has reached unprecedented levels, the model of distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza is dangerous, exacerbates instability, and violates the human dignity of Palestinians.”

The statement was signed by the Foreign Ministers of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The EU Commissioner for Equality also signed the statement.

In another part, it said:
“We condemn the trickle-down of aid and the killing of civilians, including children, who are struggling to access their most basic needs, such as water and food. The fact that more than 800 Palestinians have been killed while trying to receive aid is shocking. The Israeli government’s blocking of humanitarian aid to civilians is unacceptable. Israel must abide by its obligations under international humanitarian law.”

We call for the immediate lifting of Israel’s restrictions on aid entry, saying:
“Israel must allow the United Nations and humanitarian groups to carry out their life-saving work safely and effectively. The proposal to create a ‘humanitarian city’ to house Palestinians is unacceptable. Permanent forced displacement is a clear violation of international humanitarian law.”

The statement concludes:
“We firmly oppose any move to change the political or demographic geography of the occupied Palestinian territories. The E1 settlement plan announced by the Israeli Civil Administration, if implemented, will divide the Palestinian land, in clear violation of international law and fundamentally undermine the two-state solution. Settlers' violence against Palestinians has increased. This must stop.”
