Gen. Domingo Hernández Lárez — Commander of CEOFANB (Strategic Operational Command) since 2021, the highest operational military post, overseeing coordination of all armed forces.

All of them have remained loyal to Nicolás Maduro throughout his tenure, and most—if not all—are ideologically aligned with Chavismo, also known as 21st-century socialism, some are considered to be more extreme than Maduro had been.

The drone struck a military outpost in Abeche, in eastern Chad. The border region nearby was struck by the Sudanese Armed Forces in the past, which is a critical supply route for the Rapid Support Forces.

"We are still in the process of confirming the origin of this drone. If it is a Sudanese military drone, we will exercise our right to retaliate," - A Chadian military officer tells Reuters.
