Locals report that after the defeat in Kipese, the DR Congo military, FARDC, have begun withdrawing from Lubero towards Kimbulu, further north. Locals also report that the Ugandan military is still stationed in Lubero, their purpose remains unknown. The DRC has in the past accused Uganda of supporting the M23.
