On World Children’s Day, Gaza faces one of the gravest child catastrophes in modern history: more than 56,000 Palestinian children have been orphaned by Israel’s ongoing genocide, losing one or both parents as bombardment, starvation, and forced displacement continue.
The Government Media Office reports that:
Over 20,000 children have been killed, including 1,015 infants.
154 children died from hunger, and 14 from cold in displacement camps.
More than 864 children have undergone amputations, and 5,200 urgently need medical evacuation denied by Israel.
650,000 children face starvation, while 40,000 infants are at risk due to the deliberate blocking of formula.
These figures, the statement says, constitute undeniable evidence of an ongoing genocide targeting Palestinian children, as international institutions fail to act to protect them.

Ralph Wilde, a leading international law scholar, says the UN Security Council’s endorsement of Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza violates core principles of international law and is therefore legally void.
Resolution 2803, passed on Monday, supports creating an 'international stabilization force' and gives Trump overarching authority in Gaza for two years through his proposed “board of peace,” reportedly involving Tony Blair.
Wilde says the measure effectively imposes a form of colonial-style “trusteeship” that undermines Palestinians’ right to self-determination, calling such arrangements historically a bad-faith justification for colonial rule.

“Without Polish-made TNT, the unprecedented scale and intensity of aerial bombardment that has killed tens of thousands of Palestinians and destroyed life in Gaza… would not be possible.”
A new rights-group report reveals that NATO is now facing a severe TNT shortage because vast quantities of Europe’s explosives were funneled into Israel’s genocide on Gaza, The Telegraph reports.
Poland’s Nitro-Chem, Europe’s only TNT producer and the supplier of 90% of the TNT the US uses, has been unable to keep up with global demand after its explosives were used to fill U.S. “bunker buster” bombs dropped on densely populated neighborhoods in Gaza.
The report confirms Nitro-Chem directly supplied TNT and RDX to Israel, with the US sending at least 14,000 MK-84 bombs and 8,700 MK-82 bombs to fuel Israel’s bombardment from October 2023 to mid-2024.
