UNICEF warned that nearly 9,300 children under the age of five in Gaza were diagnosed with acute malnutrition in October.
The agency said the combination of rising malnutrition, worsening winter conditions, and the spread of disease is putting young children at extreme risk.
UNICEF noted that vital winter supplies remain blocked at Gaza’s borders and urged the safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, as many displaced families face cold, flooding, and unsanitary conditions in makeshift shelters.
Turkish President Erdoğan accused Israel of breaking the Gaza ceasefire and hiding behind “flimsy pretexts” as its forces continue bombing Gaza.
He said in a speech during the Science Dissemination Awards ceremony in Istanbul that Hamas has maintained the ceasefire despite provocations, stressing that the movement held its fire even as Israeli forces push the limits of the agreement.
He also warned of a coordinated “disinformation campaign” on digital platforms and Zionist media aimed at weakening global support for Palestinians.
In a post on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal, Erdogan also marked the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, extending his greetings to the Palestinians and saying Turkey is working to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in Gaza as winter approaches.

She went into labor at dawn amid severe medical neglect. Palestinian detainees are facing harsh conditions in Israeli prisons, including an infant being held without good care, a cancer-stricken detainee receives no treatment.
Four international activists were injured on Sunday after Israeli settlers attacked them in the Ein al-Duyuk community near Jericho in the occupied West Bank, breaking into the house where they were staying.
WAFA agency reported that the settlers assaulted the group, leaving four wounded, three with moderate injuries and one in critical condition. All were taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to witnesses, about 10 masked settlers stormed the activists' residence at dawn, beat them, and stole personal items, including passports and mobile phones.
Three of the injured activists are Italian, while the fourth is a Canadian citizen.
