UN Secretary-General António Guterres has decried the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza, affirming that Palestinians in the besieged enclave are facing the most brutal phase in this cruel genocide as Israel intensifies its military offensive.
He noted the Israeli escalation leads to horrifying levels of death and destruction. Guterres mentioned that all aid permitted to enter the Strip so far represents a mere fraction of what is needed, at a time when the situation demands a massive influx of assistance.
Majed Abu Ramadan, the Palestinian Minister of Health, stated that with every birth, some newborns suffer from severe weight loss, adding that many survive only a few days before passing away amod the lack of ultrasound screenings or access to intensive care.

Israeli army artillery continues to shell the vicinity of Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza. The hospital’s director told Al Jazeera that Israeli forces have bombed the perimeter of the facility, with shrapnel scattering in the area.
He stated that the hospital has been under attack for days and also reported strikes on ambulances transporting the sick and wounded.

Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, a paediatric specialist at the Nasser Medical Complex, received the charred bodies of nine of her children while on duty, after an Israeli strike hit her home in Qizan Al-Najjar, south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
The children, the eldest aged 12 and the youngest just six months, were severely burned in the bombing, which killed nine of her ten children and wounded the 10th.
