🔸 Speaking to Press TV, a high-ranking Iranian political source, stated that Iran has applied the lessons from previous negotiations in the new round of talks and will not enter negotiations with the previous structure and agenda.
🔹 Referring to the US request to begin negotiations, the source said: Negotiations must align with the region's security realities. For now, we believe the goal of the talks is to disarm Iran to compensate for Israel's weakness in the next war. Our intelligence indicates that the US wants negotiations for war, not peace. If that is the case, we have no interest in wasting our time or others' and would prefer to focus our energy on war."
🔸 The source added that if new negotiations are to take shape, there must be serious and practical guarantees that these talks are not a cover for a security deception.
🔹 The Iranian source stated that certain conditions would guarantee such a demand: "The first condition is that the nuclear program and weapons of mass destruction of the Zionist regime must be seriously addressed. No one in the region will accept a disarmed region while such a bloodthirsty regime becomes more armed every day."
🔸 The source cited credible punishment of Israel and compensation to Iran as other conditions for negotiations, warning that otherwise, talks would once again serve as a prelude to war.
