🇺🇦 BLATANT #CORRUPTION: The son of the deputy mayor of the city of Varash and former director of the Rivne NPP, Yevhen Pavlyshyn, received a suspended sentence for beating a pensioner to death, the court register shows.
The decision was made by the Vladymyretsky District Court.
The drunk Pavlyshyn beat a mother and daughter at the "Bile Ozero" recreation base in the Varash district of Rivne region on June 18, 2022. The investigation found that the conflict arose because the deceased asked Pavlyshyn not to relieve himself on their doorstep.
For this, the man beat them both, and the woman died in the hospital four days later.
However, the forensic expert concluded that the woman did not die from the beatings but fell in the ward during treatment and hit her head on the floor.

Therefore, Pavlyshyn was tried under the article for causing moderate bodily harm that did not result in consequences.
Moreover, the case barely moved for three years, Pavlyshyn remained free, and in June 2025, it was considered in a simplified procedure without questioning witnesses or examining all materials. At the same time, the victim, the deceased's daughter, refused to testify. Shortly before that, Pavlyshyn transferred 100,000 hryvnias to her card.
As a result, the court sentenced Pavlyshyn to 2 years imprisonment with a probation period of 2 years. That is, he remains free.
