It is based on Egld. It all depends on how much the providers nodes validate for that period of time. It's a random consensus. Sometimes it's more, sometimes less than shown apr, but it averages out over the course of the year.

In the meantime, a new update was posted, but the release date for Barnard on mainnet is still to be officially announced, to my knowledge.

I always thought that the staking rewards are calculated based on egld, and not on dollar cost. I thought if you have 100 egld staking at 7% u get 7 egld for an year, but I havr noticesed that my rewards in egld are less now, that the price went up a bit. I was getting 1 egld for 10 days , now I get 0.7. Am I the only one that was wrong?
