Holstein Kiel v Bayer 04 Leverkusen - Bundesliga Photo by Oliver Hardt/Getty Images Bayern Munich or Manchester City? It has been a hell of a week when it comes to the Florian Wirtz saga. A done deal at Bayern Munich? A shock visit to Manchester City? Liverpool FC taking a wild swing? We have heard it all...and apparently the Wirtz family has had enough. Per Bild journalists Axel Hesse and Phillip Arens (via @iMiaSanMia), Wirtz and his parents want out of Bayer Leverkusen:Florian Wirtz and his parents are pushing for a move away from Bayer Leverkusen this summer. The Wirtz situation is not exactly smooth for Bayern Munich, though. According to Sport1’s Stefan Kumberger (via @iMiaSanMia), the family is upset with the reports that dropped last week stating that there was an agreement in place: Florian Wirtz’s family was surprised and a bit irritated by the reports that came from Munich last week stating that the player reached an agreement with Bayern and signed a pre-contract agreement.Surely, there is much more to come on this evolving saga...Looking for more thoughts and analysis of Bayern Munich’s final Bundesliga match of the season? Awesome! We covered the game against Hoffenheim in depth and even chatted about how Hoffenheim midfielder Tom Bischof could potentially fit in at Bayern Munich if the rumored transfer of Florian Wirtz falls apart. FC Bayern München v Borussia Mönchengladbach - Bundesliga Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images Harry Kane is ready to win more trophies... Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane got his first taste of a trophy when the Bavarians won the Bundesliga last week. Now, that the Englishman has gotten a taste of the hardware, he wants to keep it going with the Club World Cup.“I think for them it’s maybe a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not all of [those] fans are able to travel here to Germany or to Europe to come and watch us play, so it might be their only opportunity in their lifetime that they get to see us. So, it’ll be special for them,” Kane told DAZN (via @iMiaSanMia). “We obviously hope we can make that experience as good as possible by winning and just making it enjoyable and, also, getting to meet some of the fans. I’m sure there’ll be a chance to see some of the fans after the game or before the camps. And, like I said, for those fans, it’s really important because they don’t know how long it’ll be before we’re back there.”Bayern Munich will certainly be one of the tournament favorites and if the club can secure a move for Bayer Leverkusen ace Florian Wirtz before the competition starts, the team could be have a new — and exhilarating — look,

FC Bayern München v Borussia Mönchengladbach - Bundesliga Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images Wil Bayern Munich be able to win this summer’s big tourney? Bayern Munich only has one game remaining on its Bundesliga schedule and once this weekend is over, the squad will shift its focus to this summer’s Club World Cup. While the extra load might not be something that all players will enjoy, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is eager to take his game to North America in hopes of coming away with a championship. “It’s the first Club World Cup in this format. We’ll travel there as a team to become world champions. That’s our big goal,” Neuer told BR24 (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). Bayern Munich’s roster should be in a little bit of flux heading into the competition. Outgoing veteran Thomas Müller is going to stay on for the Club World Cup and Bayern Munich is seeking to keep Eric Dier for the tournament as well. Otherwise, Leroy Sané’s contract situation is up in the air at the moment as his camp has submitted a counterproposal to Bayern Munich. It remains to be seen what happens with that and also if Bayern Munich will be successful in landing Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz (or any other key players for that matter). Clearly, the Bavarians are not just viewing the Club World Cup as a tune-up for next season.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen v Borussia Dortmund - Bundesliga Photo by Jörg Schüler/Bayer 04 Leverkusen via Getty Images How the turntables... Jonathan Tah is set to leave Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer in the summer transfer window. That the player himself has already confirmed. Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona are both credited with having an interest in the player. But who would Tah choose? It seemed that the Catalans were ahead in the race for the Germany international’s signature, only for their FFP issues to reportedly get in the way. Bayern were then in front. But perhaps Barcelona are not out of the picture yet, via a report from BILD (and captured by @iMiaSanMia):Barcelona are still interested in Jonathan Tah and have not given up hope on signing him. The Catalans are very confident that registration wouldn’t be a problem in the event of a transfer. Hansi Flick wants Tah.BFW AnalysisTah’s agent, Pini Zahavi, is a master of this business. It is his bread and butter to pit two clubs against each other to bid higher and higher so that he and his client get the best offer possible. And part of that game is leaking such reports to the media. This report is likely just another attempt from Zahavi to make Bayern a little more nervous, just as he has been attempting to make Barça more nervous in recent days and months. Until Tah has signed, nothing is done.

FC Bayern München v Borussia Mönchengladbach - Bundesliga Photo by F. Noever/FC Bayern via Getty Images Things are turning positive for Bayern Munich, based on recent reports. Word was that Dayot Upamecano and Bayern Munich were hitting serious roadblocks in contract extension discussions. Upsetting reports to fans surely, as Dayot Upamecano has become Bayern Munich’s most reliable defender. However, things can always turn around, and that seems to be the case for these discussions. Reportedly, new talks have begun and are far more constructive.Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich and the French defender are now having new talks, over an extension until 2030. Positive developments have been occurring in the last 48 hours but negotiations are still ongoing with more details needed. New talks are now taking place between FC Bayern and Dayot #Upamecano over a contract extension until 2030.There have been positive developments in the past 48 hours but more details still need to be clarified. Negotiations ongoing. However, Upamecano and Bayern very open to extend the contract. This is massive news for Bayern Munich, as Kim Min Jae has not met expectations and consistently reliant defender Eric Dier is on his way to Ligue 1 with AS Monaco. Signing Upamecano long-term is a great signal to fans that Bayern Munich are serious about competing in Europe for the upcoming years. With a lot of uncertainty still over the pending transfers such as Jonathan Tah, Florian Wirtz, and extensions like Leroy Sané, this is reassuring news for fans.Looking for more thoughts and analysis of Bayern Munich’s final Bundesliga match of the season? Germany v Bosnia and Herzegovina - UEFA Nations League 2024/25 League A Group A3 Photo by Adam Pretty/Getty Images Julian Nagelsmann is looking for his new assistant coach heading towards the FIFA World Cup. Former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann has already elevated Germany’s status back to the world’s elite nations after relative success in the Nations League and Euro 2024. Despite being trophyless so far, Nagelsmann has a real chance to secure a Nations League title this summer in Munich. However, this will be his swan song with assistant coach, Sandro Wagner.Wagner has been reportedly seeking a full-time top flight position with a club for months now, and Wagner recently announced that his time with the national team will end after the Nations League finals. This prompted the search for Wagner’s replacement as assistant coach. Benjamin Hübner and Alfred Schreuder are candidates to replace Sandro Wagner as Julian Nagelsmann's assistant in the national team [@altobelli13] pic.twitter.com/Ln6tAsvhuv— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) May 6, 2025Benjamin Hübner and Alfred Schreuder are the candidates reportedly in the running for Naglesmann’s second-hand man. Hübner played under Nagelsmann at TSG Hoffenheim and is now the assistant coach.Alfred Schreuder has had an interesting career of several different clubs he has managed including Ajax and assisting Ronald Koeman at Barcelona, but has struggled to build a long-term project at any club. Most notably perhaps, he was the assistant behind Nagelsmann at Hoffenheim. It is difficult to find top managers willing to become an assistant coach, but it is a great job for a young manager. Hopefully, Nagelsmann is able to find a capable manager to replace the promising Wagner.

FK Bodo/Glimt v Tottenham Hotspur - UEFA Europa League 2024/25 Semi Final Second Leg Photo by David Lidstrom - UEFA/UEFA via Getty Images Well, Harry Kane worked out, didn’t he? Bayern eyeing Porro? (The Hard Tackle)The right-back position at Bayern Munich is not one that is getting a lot of attention these days. Konrad Laimer, a central midfielder by trade, has emerged as the starter, while Josip Stanišić (reportedly moving to center-back), Sacha Boey (expected to be sold), and Raphaël Guerreiro (played a few games at the position this season) are all currently options for head coach Vincent Kompany. It would not be altogether shocking to see Bayern Munich bolster the position if it can sell Boey, but does the club already have a prime target in Tottenham Hotspur’s Pedro Porro?Maybe:Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on a summer move for Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro.Bayern Munich are gearing up for a significant summer overhaul, and one of the key areas of focus is the right-back position. Pedro Porro, who has been one of Tottenham Hotspur’s standout performers this season, has emerged as a prime target for the Bavarian giants. With the club determined to reclaim its domestic and European dominance, Porro’s dynamic style of play has reportedly caught the attention of manager Vincent Kompany as he looks to fortify the flanks.Under Kompany’s guidance, Bayern are aiming to revamp their defensive line with a player who can balance defensive solidity with attacking flair. Porro, known for his aggressive runs forward, pinpoint crosses, and defensive tenacity, fits the profile perfectly. Since making his permanent switch from Sporting CP in 2023, the Spaniard has cemented his status as one of the Premier League’s top right-backs, combining his defensive discipline with an impressive attacking output.Bayern are not alone in pursuing Porro. Barcelona and Manchester City are also credited with interest in the Spaniard, with both clubs monitoring his situation closely. Barcelona, under financial constraints, are unlikely to meet Tottenham’s valuation, while City are looking for a more cost-effective solution. This could give Bayern the edge in negotiations, provided they are willing to meet the asking price. While it is an intriguing thought, Bayern Munich could get away with another season of Laimer and Stanišić as the primary options at the positions. On the scale of needs, right-back is not one that the club seems altogether concerned with at the moment. If you want to give this report from credence, though, this is not the first time that Bayern Munich has kicked the tires on the 25-year-old. Back in 2022, the Bavarians liked the player during his time at Sporting CP.Rodrygo out at Real? Eh, probably not (ESPN)It has been reported that incoming Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso wants to play a top two-based formation featuring Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Junior, which could leave Rodrygo in a precarious position. Rumors have already began to swirl that the youngster could make a push to leave Madrid: Rodrygo “will not continue at Real Madrid if an offer arrives” this summer. The Brazil forward “has played a lot this year, and hasn’t performed as hoped.” Rodrygo has scored six times in 30 LaLiga appearances this season, with just one goal in all competitions coming in the last three months. (El Chiringuito)The player, however, seems to imply that he will be back: Gracias por todos los mensajes y preocupaciones. Noever/FC Bayern via Getty Images “The fact that we’re both celebrating the title now at Bayern shows our big ambition to win trophies.” Bayern Munich, after an unsuccessful 2023/24 season, made a strong comeback in the 2024/25 season. Winning the Bundesliga, after a year, has boosted the morale of the team strongly. Additionally, the Bavarians have given former Tottenham Hotspur stars Harry Kane and Eric Dier their first career trophies. Speaking on the feeling of winning, Kane said that winning with the team feels better than all his individual trophies, to @iMiaSanMia.“I need to let it all sink in. But I won’t change as a player because of my first title. I want to continue testing my limits, getting better, and achieving even more,” he said, emphasising on his desire to do and achieve more. Further, on the joint experience with Dier, Kane spoke to @iMiaSanMia. “Eric came to me and said it was an even better feeling than anyone had described. I feel the same,” he said, expressing their happiness. “Eric and I have had similar experiences. We were often very close. We always had to keep working hard and pushing. The fact that we’re both celebrating the title now at Bayern shows our big ambition to win trophies,” he declared, with pride. These heartwarming anecdotes show well how much trophies matter to players. Certainly, the long wait has been worth it for Kane and Dier. Not just Bayern and its fans; it is sure that the entire world of football is overjoyed for the duo. However, this will be Dier’s last trophy as well — as he transfers to AS Monaco.

FC Bayern München v Borussia Mönchengladbach - Bundesliga Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images “Speak softly and carry a big stick.”-Theodore Roosevelt Bayern Munich is headed into a crucial transfer window that will reshape the club for the next few years. The Rekordmeister has already said goodbye to Thomas Müller and Eric Dier, although the club wants both players to stick with the team through the Club World Cup. Bayern is working hard to secure extensions for players like Leroy Sané and Dayot Upamecano. Negotiations with Sané were almost finalized until the player decided to switch agents in the eleventh hour. However, Bayern has made it clear that they would be bullied with such tactics (per Sport Bild via @iMiaSanMia):Bayern are unwilling to improve their offer to Leroy Sané out of principle. They don’t want other players in the future to believe that by changing their agents they can get a better contract than the one already agreed. Bayern’s offer to Sané (€10m fixed plus €5-5.5m) is final.Sané is unlikely to receive a better offer in the Premier League or La Liga, allowing Bayern to hold firm. This tactic won’t work with an elite player but it’s important for Bayern to overcome the public impression that they will cave in negotiations.

The 29-year-old central defender will be moving to Bayern as early as next week. This will give the club and the player plenty of time to settle in with each other. FC Bayern München v Borussia Mönchengladbach - Bundesliga Photo by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty Images Thomas Müller is thanking his teammates and the club’s staff... Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller is a gracious fellow and after returning from Ibiza, the veteran hosted a night out for his teammates, their families, and the club’s staffers: After returning from Ibiza, Thomas Müller invited his teammates, their families and staff to an evening at the Erding Thermal Spa in Munich. 20 players were there. The team even reserved the entire slide area in the water park to themselves. The water park area? Bayern Munich’s academy is not known for producing talents, although Aleksandar Pavlović is a recent example of a youth player breaking into the senior team. The people in charge of the campus have marked down Javier Fernández as a player to watch out for and they have conjured a plan to further his development:Many at the FC Bayern Campus rave about Javi Fernández (18) as the most talented midfielder in the academy. The Spaniard has been very unlucky with injuries and is currently out for at least three months with a knee injury. Bayern’s plan Fernández is to give him game time with the second team after he recovers, keep him fit over a longer period of time, and then to loan him out in order to take the next step.– Sky Sport’s Kerry Hau as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMiaIf the cards are played just right, we might see the former Atletico Madrid youth player join Pavlović at the first team.
