We can take these two sentences to identify the meaning of surface structure

Ali broke the window
The window was broken by Ali

In traditional terminology, the first is an active sentence and the second is passive. The distinction between them is the surface structure

Deep structure

The basic components shared by the two sentences would be represented, has been called their deep structure

Deep structure
It is an abstract level of structural organization in which all the elements determining structural interpretation.

⭕JOKE OF THE DAY! ⭕

An old farmer wrote a letter to his son in prison. "Son, this year I will not plant cassava
and yam because I can't dig the field, I know if you were here you would have helped me".

The son replied his father "Dad don't even think of digging the field because that's where I buried the money I stole".

The POLICE & PRISON'S on reading this letter went early in the morning and dug the whole field in search of the money but nothing was found.

The next day the son wrote his father again "Dad you can now plant your cassava and yam this is the best I can do from here."

Dad replied "Hahaaa my son, you are too powerful indeed, even in prison you still command police men to work for me. I was so surprised to see the IGP and his team holding hoes and shovels, digging my farm. I will write to you when I want to harvest."
😃😃😄

MORAL LESSON🎯 : Nobody can imprison your mind. Don't laugh alone. Share with others!

*“Let not the people come to know except of your happiness, and let them not see except your smile. If life becomes constricted upon you, then within the Qur’an lies your orchard. *If you see an ant on the path, then do not crush it, and seek the Face of Allah thereby, so that He will have mercy on you like you had mercy on it, and remember that it glorifies Allah, so do not halt this glorification by killing it.*

‎وإذا مررت بعصفور يشرب من بركة ماء فلا تمر بجانبه لتخيفه ” وابتغ بذلك وجه الله عسى أن يؤمنك من الخوف يوم تبلغ القلوب الحناجر

*And if you pass by a bird drinking from the blessing of water, then do not pass close to it in case you startle it, and seek the Face of Allah thereby, so that He grants you safety from fear on the Day when hearts shall reach the throat.*

‎وإذا اعترضتك قطة في وسط الطريق فتجنب أن تصدمها وابتغ بذلك وجه الله عسى أن يقيك الله ميتة السوء

*And if you come across a cat in the middle of the road, then avoid hitting it, and seek the Face of Allah thereby, so that He protects you from an evil death.*

Zee: Sure, no sweat.

Another example:

👉in spite of / despite / although

⭕️In spite of, despite and although are all used to show a contrast but there are differences in the structures used with them.

☑️In spite of / despite

After in spite of and despite we use a noun or a pronoun.

We enjoyed our camping holiday in spite of the rain.

Despite the pain in his leg, he completed the marathon.

Despite having all the necessary qualifications, they didn’t offer me the job.

Despite of the bad weather, there was a large crowd at the match.

☑️Although

After although we use a subject and a verb.

We enjoyed our camping holiday although it rained every day.

Although he worked very hard, he didn’t manage to pass the exam.

The holiday was great although the hotel wasn’t very nice.

We can use in spite of and despite with a subject and verb if we include the expression ‘the fact that’.

In spite of the fact that he worked very hard, he didn’t manage to pass the exam.

Despite the fact that he worked very hard, he didn’t manage to pass the exam.

☑️Even though

Even though is a slightly stronger form of although.

We decided to buy the house even though we didn’t really have enough money.

You keep making that stupid noise even though I’ve asked you to stop three times.

Like although, even though is followed by a subject and a verb.

📍10 TOP TIPS FOR IMPROVING YOUR SPOKEN ENGLISH

Practising speaking is one of the most fun and rewarding parts of learning English. Once you can speak even a little English, there are loads of ways to improve your skills quickly while having tons of fun. Here are ten top tips for improving your spoken English and having a great time while you do it!

Speak, speak, speak!

Be confident and speak as often as possible to as many people as you possibly can! Do not be shy to make mistakes! The more you practice the better and more confident you will become in your pronunciation and vocabulary. Remember, speaking is a skill like learning a musical instrument or new sport – the only way you can get good is to actually do it!

Use technology

A smartphone can be a powerful tool for learning languages. Use it to record yourself speaking then listen back to see how your English sounds to other people. Make the most of all your favourite productivity apps to organise your practice time and make a note of all the new words you learn.

Listen

Listen to news bulletins and songs in English to listen to the pronunciation of words. You can also learn new words and expressions this way. The more you listen, the more you learn! Try copying what you hear to practise your pronunciation and learn which words in a sentence are stressed.

Read out loud

Read the newspaper or a magazine out to yourself. You could even find a script for your favourite TV show and act it out! This is a great way to practise pronunciation because you only need to concentrate on making sure you English sounds great and don’t need to worry about sentence structure or grammar.

Learn a new word every day

Choose a word you would like to work on and use practice it in different sentences. Use the word until you have learnt it and keep using it regularly.

Watch films

Watch movies in English and pay attention to new vocabulary and pronunciation. Imitate the actors and have fun with it.

Make friends

Make friends with English speakers or others learning to speak English and compare notes. Talk about things that you have learnt and exchange ideas.

Do interesting activities in English

Take a cooking course in English or join a book club! Anything you enjoy doing, make sure you do it and communicate it in English. Using English to talk about things you enjoy will make practising a positive experience.

Have a debate

Debate all the topics that interest you with friends in English. Try to use as much vocabulary as you can to get your point across and listen to the other arguments carefully so you can argue against them effectively.

Use a dictionary

Online dictionaries often have audio examples so you can check your pronunciation and there are lots of great dictionary apps that you can take everywhere with you on your smartphone. Make sure not to become too reliant on these tools, though. Have a go at saying the words first then check afterwards to see if you were right!

So, with all these practice tips to choose from, which one are you going to try first?

For making soap, oil is required. But to clean oil, soap is required. This is the irony of life.

Every problem has (N+1) solutions: where N is the number of solutions that you have tried and 1 is that you have not tried.

” الإيمان بِضْع وسبعون شُعْبة: أعلاها لا إله إلاّ الله وأدناها إماطة الأذى عن الطريق الحديث رواه الجماعة عن أبي هريرة: البخاري بلفظ: بضع وستون، ومسلم بضع وسبعون، وفي رواية أو بضع وستون، والترمذي بضع وسبعون، والنسائي كلهم في كتاب (الإيمان)، وأبو داود في (السُّنَّة)، وإبن ماجة في (المقدمة). “

Faith is seventy-something categories. The highest in importance is “There is no God except Allah”, and the lowest is the removal of harmful things from the road.
This hadith has been reported from Abu Huraira by Bukhari as “Sixty-something”, by Muslim as “Seventy-something” and in another place as “Sixty-something”, by Turmudhi as “Seventy-something”. All of these versions have been reported in Nisaee’s al-Iman, and in Abu Dawood’s al-Sunnah, and Ibn Majah’s al-Muqaddimah.
