I remember GTO90 giving a community talk on discord and I can hear him say the core developers are volunteers, they have regular jobs and other responsibilities and they contribute when they can. Their time is a limited resource. You’re saying to add additional code for trusted merchant system. The other thing to think about is that the developers aren’t responsible or control 3rd party services. I’m very limited when it comes to PoS systems, trusted merchant system so there might be a way to make it happen, most likely through third party services. These are just my opinions.

it will be an optional because the neutral of services,

but only if business owners need to add more trust layers they need to go through those rules ,
.
Like some rules that available on social networks only profile/accounts/pages with special treatment need to provide more info to be qualified to get label or put a Badge of Trusted Merchants ,
and those will be optional because no one needs for the system to be more centrelize

Yes it’s a public ledger and transactions can be verified through explorers. Yes some exchanges have been tagged and I think that had to do with proof of reserve and to observe for market anomalies. I use the address book in my wallet but as a safe practice people should always use a new address for security reasons. I don’t know of any big merchants who have been tagged on an Explorer but there might be. And who is supposed to be responsible for trusted merchant system?

DigiByte is decentralized and permission less and I don’t think you could track down everyone who uses DGB now. I hope that everyone that support native DGB (e.g. services, wallets, exchanges) support DD. There are people behind the scenes who voluntarily contact and advocate for DigiByte.

I said I don’t disagree, cryptocurrencies and stablecoins and the Digidollar or for transfer of value. Is that what you want me to agree too? But I’d like more insight into the trusted merchant system, I know you gave examples of PayPal and others but like I said this concept is new to me, I’m a noob. So what you’re suggesting when you say team DigiByte is that you want the core developers to provide a list of trusted merchants?

I don't need to get an conclusion that Digidollar will not be used to be an online payments and it will be only another crypto coins or token only available for trading at crypto Exchanges
.
Is the final goal is to allow regular users to use DD to pay invoice at Amazon or Google/ Apple Store, or AliExpress or any of those online/offline stores???

I think the idea behind the DD is to be a decentralized stablecoin, central issued stablecoins come with a lot of risk. DD is different from other stablecoins due to its mechanisms but the idea is stability during volatility.

At Digibyte Core wallet , Team can provide some of additional/ optional settings for wallet owners to allow them to apply for Running an individual or co-operation Wallets Business by providing more details about offline/online business details and those information can be approved by ... ( I know this is a decentralised network and no one can provide this service ) so it can be run by any of 3party audit like certik or any of Trusted aduit service

I think the big picture here is , Blockchain itself as a system it's built to track every transaction

If we look at some of Blockchain explore/Scan,
we will see some of address sorted under the names of some of big Merchants/ Crypto Exchanges
.
This is how Blockchain itself can track merchants by adding layer of naming of wallets because big/small business owners they need to be trusted when someone makes an transaction with some of provide crypto address .
.

Yes, Whitelist of a Merchants will be a good Services
.
This list will be build by the time and it will be updated also by the time because there's some of cases of used of the systems itself, for example like Alibaba they also update merchants systems everytime according to some of rules and maybe some of merchants will be qualified for some of time with some of products they provide and according some of return of damage,
I know it will be a challenge to put/update rules about merchants systems depending of many of cases, and it will not be an easy way , and maybe with more of thoughts/times we can get this systems exists

The Trusted Merchants will be useful to protect users while they test and use the system ,

I don’t disagree about stablecoins use for payments, I’m more interested in the trusted merchant system. I only ask if that would be applicable to DGB because up until now it’s there for anyone to use such as 3rd party payment rails & 3rd party directories.

I think, while Digibyte and Digidollar will be under one umbrella,
and DGB required to be Locked to mint Digidollar,
this process will left us with Digidollar

At this point, maybe this systems will be more effective with Digidollar,
because the real reason of Digidollar existing is to be:

Trusted merchants systems it's started before with the first time of release of online payments platforms ( PayPal, Neteller, Solitrustpay , Payza , perfect money, ... Many others project ect ) some of those projects now closed or not not available and some of them survive and continue right now ,
.
Because some of online projects abuse the systems then Online payments Platforms Come with Visions to Provide users some details of accepted and approved trusted merchants
( I don't know any of inside information about how they can across those qualifications to be a trusted merchants ) ,
but what i know while I used this service before is
This systems existing to protect users from online Scammers at the Golden age of Online websites that provides ( HYIP, MLM ... ) Systems that available at the beginning of online payments platforms startups
.
The concept of Trusted merchants systems now available at crypto Exchanges under P2P systems
.
Where Merchants will be qualified by ( number of confirmed of transactions ... Many others Points , this need to look at Rules about how crypto exchange choose a qualified Merchants and added them to Whitelist or adding them to a Blacklist with some of warning when someone choose to dealing with this merchants )
.
So when Digidollar will be at mainnet ,
I Hope Team of Digibyte can provide Us the same services to allow us as a users of the systems to know where we can spend Digidollar with trusted Merchants/websites/Services
