Is there a light wallet that can run the testnet? Or need to download the full node? digifaucet org testnet doesn't work, I was trying to find a testnet wallet / faucet to see how it works, but didn't found a functional website

I first started reading about the GENIUS Act from an article on X shared by Joël Valenzuela (@TheDesertLynx). If you’re not familiar with him, Joël Valenzuela is a veteran independent content creator, speaker, and blockchain technology educator.
He shared the article on X, but you can also find it here:
https://descentr.net/fork-in-the-road-for-stablecoins-genius-and-anti-cbdc-acts/
The article is titled “Fork in the Road for Stablecoins: GENIUS and Anti-CBDC Acts.”
In the article, it discusses payment/regulated stablecoins and decentralized/endogenously‑collateralized stablecoins.
So I think anyone following along in this discussion can read that article first, and then read S.394 — GENIUS Act of 2025:
https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bill/394/text
Perfect, can you ask Gemini “True or False
GENIUS Act establishes the governing federal framework in the U.S. for stablecoins.”
True or False
GENIUS Act establishes the governing federal framework in the U.S. for stablecoins.
I can’t read the full article, I don’t have a subscription to Thomson Reuters Practical Law. But from what I can see it’s talking about: Practical Law article breaks down the GENIUS Act (signed July 18, 2025), the first US federal law regulating payment stablecoins: licensing, reserves (1:1 backing), oversight (federal for large issuers), redemption rights, disclosures, and preemption of state rules.
Correct?
I think that’s an excellent question. My knowledge is also limited on current stablecoin laws and proposals can you share where you found this information,
“The United States has established the following rule for stablecoins: Mandatory Backing (Reserves): Companies are required to maintain 100% reserves to back the value of the coins in circulation. These reserves must consist of high-quality, liquid assets, such as US dollars and US Treasury securities.”

When people ask “When DigiDollar on mainnet?” it helps to remember who we are as a community. DigiByte has always been one of the more technical blockchain communities. Other chains have a handful of tech‑savvy members who talk about node distribution, block times, mining algos, etc. For us, that’s second nature. DigiShield/MultiShield, MultiAlgo, 15‑second blocks — that’s the tone our blockchain set from day one. We know exactly what separates us from our near‑peer PoW UTXO chains.
So for anyone reading this: don’t trust, verify.
In this case, check the source.
Our community has always had people who educate, inform, and spread awareness — and you can too if you know where to look.
Start at DigiByte.io → DigiByte Stats.
It’s a free, open‑source site that pulls real‑time data directly from the blockchain via digibyted (the main engine of a DigiByte node).
If you have specific questions about activation or the BIP9 process, open the Activation page in the menu. It’s the best place to start.

You can use the core wallet. The testnet blockchain is not very large, so sync won’t take a long time.

Get in! As long as it Trump coin it’s basically legit, everything else can fuck off. Quango, Cartel, Ponzi, dress it up how you like.

DigiByte Testnet blockchain statistics show that the testnet is still running: https://digibyte.io/testnet.
You can still join the Dev Chat on Gitter if you have any questions — that’s where all the testing was coordinated: https://app.gitter.im/#/room/#digidollar:gitter.im.
Is it already possible to experiment with dgb and digidollar on testnet? Where can we read some documentation?

This is my non-legal opinion/advice to get you close to your question, “How does DigiByte’s DigiDollar measure up against this requirement?”, read the entirety of: S.394 - GENIUS Act of 2025 for your understanding. I’ll also point out some definitions, sections that apply to this conversation:
SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS.
(14) PAYMENT STABLECOIN.—The term “payment stablecoin”

I dont need to ask. I also dont recomend using AI that way. My initial wording was because I knew gemini would provide refrences that can be looked up. Its always better to use it to look for info then to interpret it.
Now if you have a system that is specially tunned for fact finding like my personal ai at biblescholar.fyi then that is a different story, but Gemini is a generic system which though really good will hallucinate some times. Look up the sources for the relivent country you live in and judge for yourself is my advice.
This may help but obviously fact check it

@Cardon_Saguaro Good morning, my friend. My knowledge is limited—could you clear up a question for me? The United States has established the following rule for stablecoins: Mandatory Backing (Reserves): Companies are required to maintain 100% reserves to back the value of the coins in circulation. These reserves must consist of high-quality, liquid assets, such as US dollars and US Treasury securities. How does DigiByte’s DigiDollar measure up against this requirement?

so excited for the dd launch in face of the stablecoin hype where big entities are pushing stablecoins only because they want to centralize it and create digital gulag..
This is a game changer and a shining star on decentralized sky.
Thanks a lot to Jared and his team to keeping us free 🫶
It's no easy task getting people to update their core wallets. Even with major changes like digidollar you will see it take months to get people to switch. So a small thing like price is not exactly worthy of that hassle.

Why? CoinGecko API is available for that purposes, and it will not be a problem to implement price in the QT wallet.
