There would be demand for a third party wallet that mere mortals can use. Thus would drive adoption. Fiat to DD without the user even beware blockchain tech was involved would be useful for non tech savvy users.

You have to acquire more DD if you have spent them to release the DGB. You have to pay off the initial debt to release the DGB when the time lock has expired. Ideally you the value of your DGB will of increased during the time locked.
Possible ways of acquiring DD are as usual, selling something for DD or buying DD. Lastly, the time locked DGB has a value so the “debt” could be taken in by a third party for a fee - that is a whole other industry waiting to evolve.

At the moment DigiDollar is only on testnet so there isn’t anywhere you can spend test DD.
And I think a directory of merchants who accept DigiDollar for services and goods is a good idea.
Can you explain trusted merchants?
