𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋: Chelsea Academy attacker Sol Gordon has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until at least 2029. 🤝
Having joined Chelsea’s development centre at Under-8 level, Gordon has progressed through the Academy ranks to become a regular for the Under-18s and has also featured for the Blues’ Under-21s.
Following his 17th birthday in November 2024, Gordon signed his first professional contract and went on to enjoy an impressive first full-time season with the Under-18s. He finished as the side’s leading goalscorer with 15 goals in all competitions.
The winger carried that form into the 2025/26 season, opening the campaign with a hat-trick against Sheffield United in the Under-18 Premier League Cup before featuring for the Under-19s in the UEFA Youth League, where he also got on the scoresheet in a 5-0 victory over Qarabag.
Gordon rounded off the campaign by scoring Chelsea’s fourth goal in a 5-1 victory over Manchester City in the Under-18 Premier League National Final, finishing the season as the third-highest appearance-maker in the Under-18s squad.
Congratulations, solgordon11! 👏

@Bayer_Leverkusen’s Kerim Alajbegovic is among the attacking options being monitored by Chelsea. Any additions in this area of the pitch depend on sales.
The 18-year-old became the eighth youngest player to score at a World Cup when he found the net in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s 3-1 victory over Qatar last month. He was coming through the academy at Leverkusen when new Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso was head coach there between 2023 and 2025.

Chelsea want £65 million for Nicolas Jackson, who is one of the players @Aston_Villa have enquired about buying from the London club.
It’s understood they are not the only Premier League keen on the Senegal international, while teams in Spain also like him.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich. He is still appreciated at Chelsea and is in line to be included in the pre-season tour squad which leaves for Sydney on Friday.
But his chances of regular starts next season have diminished, with Joao Pedro first choice up front and Rogers earmarked to play in an attacking role on the left. Should he want to leave and a club meets the asking price, Chelsea will not stand in his way.

Chelsea have opened talks with Under-21 striker Shumaira Mheuka over a new contract and want to get an agreement in place before sending him out on loan.
Mheuka’s current deal runs out next year, although it does include an option to extend anyway, but Chelsea want to reward him for his progress with a long-term contract as well as making sure he stays at Stamford Bridge.
The 18-year-old has already made nine appearances for the first team. He was named the Premier League 2 Player of the season for 2025-26 after scoring 18 goals in 19 appearances.
It is understood has been finalised yet, but things are progressing well, and there is a confidence that it will be formalised soon.

🚨 OFFICIAL: Chelsea confirms the signing of Melvine Malard on a four-year contract. ✍️
🗣️ Melvine Malard: “I’m so happy because I have a plan for my life and my career, and Chelsea were a part of that plan.
It’s a great club and a big club so I’m very excited to get started. I have played against Chelsea a lot of times and have always lost so I know the team have good players. And I have known Sonia since I was 14 years old, so it’s great to work with her again.
My objective is to become better every single day and to win trophies. I know Chelsea always have that as an objective and I have that ambition too.
I am also really looking forward to playing at Stamford Bridge on a regular basis. The atmosphere is incredible and the pitch is close to the fans, so you really feel their energy. I love that.”
