🗣️ Willian "Yeah, I wish I’d never left [Chelsea]. Of course it’s easy to say now, but when I stop and think about all the situations – I say to myself, “I wish I never left”. But that’s life."

Enzo Maresca ahead of Everton [A] in the Premier League:
🏥 𝐎𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬:
“Joao [Felix] is back, you saw Joao [against Shamrock Rovers], but Romeo [Lavia] will probably struggle to play on Sunday. But we will see tomorrow [Friday].
🤕 𝐎𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞, 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲:
“Both are still out and will still be out for a long period.”
📈 𝐎𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬:
“Reece will start with us for part of the session. So slowly, slowly is moving forward. That doesn’t mean he will be with us on Sunday or next Sunday.
“Tomorrow [today], part of the session will be with him managed then it’s building the right condition for him.”
😤𝐎𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨𝐧, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤:
“No, it’s something that I didn’t know, to be honest.
“Hopefully we can go there and beat them. For sure, it will be a tough game, but we’re going to try to prepare for the game in the best way we can.
“The target is always the same: prepare the game to win the game and then we see. Everton’s stadium is not tough only for Chelsea. It’s tough for any club.”

Marc Guiu, the hat-trick hero! ⚽️🎩

Enzo Maresca:
"We don't want one of our players to leave. It is sometimes a question for them because they are not happy and they want to play more. It is a matter of agreement between the club and the player."
[via BobbyVincentFL]
Enzo Maresca on Marc Cucurella:
"I don't know about last year, I was not here so it is difficult to judge. Sometimes it is more about understanding the position and the game. Marc is doing very well."
Enzo Maresca:
"In the last two games he has scored two goals but in the game against Leicester, he did very well. He scored with his right tonight."
Enzo Maresca:
"Not only about Marc, to be honest; all of them, they understand where they have to be when receiving the ball."
Enzo Maresca on if Cole Palmer will play in the Conference League:
"It depends about the January transfer window a little bit if players want to leave or arrive. So talking about this moment about the squad, I don't know. We will see."
[via BobbyVincentFL]
Enzo Maresca on Marc Cucurella:
"If you are in the right position, the ball will arrive there and we will have a chance. It's about understanding the game, the positions. Marc and all of them are doing fantastic."
Enzo Maresca on Marc Cucurella:
"Probably the other day [vs Brentford] was the first time he scored with his head, and today was the first time with his right foot. He said to me 'I was captain tonight too!'."
[via footballontnt]
Enzo Maresca:
"I said since we start, the best time for Christo has been in pre-season as a number 10. I don't think he's a real striker. We have many number 10: Cole, Joao, Christo. I'm trying to find space for all of them."
Enzo Maresca on Marc Guiu:
"He's young, we don't know what will happen in January. We will see."
[via footballontnt]
Enzo Maresca on Marc Guiu:
"Marc is very young, also [born in] 2006. It's important he continues to work day by day and then gets the chance."
[Enzo Maresca on Marc Guiu:
"Marc is a bit unlucky because Nicolas is doing well, Christo is doing well so for a nine, when you have another who is scoring goals and doing well it's a matter of being patient."
Enzo Maresca:
"They know that if they don't work properly, they are not going to play no matter the competition. They take their chance and I'm very happy with them."
Enzo Maresca:
"The good thing when you have two players in each position who are good, if the one is playing isn't doing well there's another behind him ready to go. This competition is important."

Round of 16 draw to take place on 21.2, with Chelsea’s potential opponents being Gent/Real Betis & Copenhagen/Heidenheim.
Last year, Fiorentina scored the most goals in the conference league, with 25 goals scored in the whole competition.
Chelsea have scored 26 goals so far in the competition!
𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋: Chelsea Academy defender Olutayo Subuloye has signed his first professional contract with the club, shortly after celebrating his 17th birthday. ✍️
The centre-back has progressed through the age groups since joining the Blues from Brighton & Hove Albion at Under-12s level.
In a successful 2023/24 campaign, he lifted the Under-16 Premier League National Tournament trophy and played a key role in the Under-17 Premier League Cup triumph, beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 in the final at Molineux.
Subuloye is experiencing his first full season with the Under-18s in 2024/25 and scored his first goal at that level in September’s 6-2 home win over Aston Villa, whilst netting in the most recent game against Crystal Palace. His performances for Chelsea earned him a call-up to represent England Under-18s in October.

The blues have now scored 5+ goals in five games so far this season, we are in December.
Enzo Maresca on Harrison Murray-Campbell:
"When you play the first game, it is never easy. He did quite well. He is good on the ball and good at defending. He deserved this chance. He was okay."
[via BobbyVincentFL]
Enzo Maresca:
"In this moment, we can focus on the domestic competition and it's probably better."
Enzo Maresca on if Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will stay at #Chelsea:
"Unfortunately I cannot say that [he is not for sale]. Not only about Kiernan, but the whole squad. When the window is open, anything can happen."
[via BobbyVincentFL]
Enzo Maresca:
"With Marc [Guiu], the problem is sometimes we forget the age. He is the same age as Josh Acheampong and has already scored six goals in this competition."
Enzo Maresca:
"He is taking his chance. He knows with Nicolas and Christo there it is not easy for him but he is working in the right way."
Enzo Maresca on adding Cole Palmer to Conference League squad:
"Depends in January. We don't want to sell players but maybe the ones that aren't playing a lot are probably unhappy and want to leave. Then we will decide."
Enzo Maresca:
"I just said to the players we have three Premier League games in one week. They have to be ready because they're going to play."
[via footballontnt]
Enzo Maresca on Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong having lockers in the #Chelsea first team dressing room:
"It's not something that they have to take for granted. They have to work in the right way to get the chance to work with us."
Enzo Maresca:
"Now they are there they have to work hard and get the chance to be with us and defend that. When they are good, no matter the age they are good."
