STARTING XI:
Sanchez - 8: Huge save in the first half to deny Watkins. Distribution excellent too throughout.
Caicedo - 9: Unreal on and off the ball, inverting from right-back. Quality performance yet again.
Fofana - 8: Couple of uncomfortable moments but prevented a goal with his recovery pace.
Colwill - 9: 1v1 defending was spot on and came clutch on numerous occasions with blocks and interceptions.
Cucurella - 8: Brilliant counter-pressing for first goal, defensively flawless in aerial duels too.
Lavia - 7.5: Provided defensive balance albeit looked rusty, losing a few duels.
Fernandez - 8.5: Fantastic off the ball harassing Villa’s midfield and a lovely finish for his goal in the first half.
Neto - 8: Always causing a problem off either flank, deserved an assist.
Palmer - 9 [MOTM]: Assist and a top class finish to round off another stellar display. Looked a class above in the second half.
Sancho - 8: Ball retention and linkup play in tight spaces a delight to watch, growing game by game.
Jackson - 8.5: Brilliant poacher’s finish and unlucky to not get a second from Martinez error.
SUBSTITUTES:
Badiashile - 7: Added a layer of physical protection up against Duran. Solid.
Madueke - 7.5: Fresh off the bench with an assist for Palmer’s beauty.
Nkunku - 7: Deserved a goal towards end, didn’t have much involvement otherwise.
Felix - 6.5: Instantly displayed his flair and technical quality, could’ve done better with his shot straight at Olsen.
