Pedro Neto when asked to name his Chelsea hero:
🗣️ "Eden Hazard, because of his relevance on the pitch, his way of playing, one against one, his natural positions on the pitch, and the way he dribbles. He was the one I looked up when I watched Chelsea."

Reece James will have a scan on Saturday to determine how long he is likely to be ruled out for. Chelsea are ‘doing everything they can to support him’ as they wait for the final results, which are expected next week.

Leicester City manager Steve Cooper on facing Cole Palmer:
🗣️ "The threat that he can have and the impact that he’s constantly having in games. But that’s the Premier League. You come up against these teams and these talents week in and week out, really. We have to be aware of it, of course."
Preparations ahead of Leicester away! 💪

Leicester were angered by Maresca joining Chelsea, insisting he “jumped ship” at the first opportunity. There was widespread bemusement than Maresca instructed the club to cancel the USA tour as it would disrupt preparation, only to then spend 2 weeks with Chelsea there.

Enzo Maresca wants long-term stay at Chelsea:
“For sure the feeling is the right one and for sure I feel ready to stay for more years in one club. No doubt about this. But the problem is that it doesn’t depend on me. It depends on the club that if you are together and agree to stay for many years. It feels like home.”
Truth be told, people didn't love Chelsea but Hazard forced them to watch our ball day in day out..💙
There's a player trying to resemble this statement, who might that be? 🤔
Enzo Maresca on Romeo Lavia:
"He's good, he's fit, he's back."
on David Coote:
“I have seen [the video about Liverpool and Klopp]. The reaction is not the best one… there are things that aren’t correct to say. No matter that he’s a referee. Any human being that says these kind of things it isn’t good.”
“I have no idea [what Leicester fans’ welcome will be]. I will be thankful to the club, the players and the fans. Because it was a fantastic season. I cannot control how they are going to receive me. But I can control how I receive them.”
“Kiernan [Dewsbury-Hall] was, at Leicester, the most important player. He moved to #Chelsea to be one other player. You have to accept that. Probably at the beginning, you struggle to accept that. Now it's getting better. I am very happy…”
"For sure for [Kiernan], he has to continue to work, wait for the chance and take it, in the way he is doing in the Conference League. He is doing OK."
‼️A source close to Nkunku did suggest the forward is not too happy with how things are going right now.
It should be pointed out that the source also insisted that Nkunku has not made any complaints himself to the club.
Chelsea still regard Nkunku as an important member of the squad and with so many matches remaining, believe there are plenty of opportunities for him to make his mark.
Chelsea do not want to sell. It would take an extraordinary offer, perhaps in excess of what they paid for him, to make them think about changing their minds.

‼️ Enzo Maresca's choices could be complicated by Romeo Lavia's fitness after he didn't feature for Belgium due to injury, when this lunch-time kick-off already means minimal recovery time for other key midfielders.

🤕 𝐎𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬:
“We are for sure without just one player this weekend and that is Reece.
“Unfortunately, he felt something this week and we don’t want to take any risks before the weekend.
“It’s a small hamstring issue, a muscle problem and we don’t want to take any risks with him for this weekend. We hope it’s something short-term and nothing more.
“The rest of the players are okay, some are better than others but some we still have doubts over. We will have to see how we are after today’s training. This is the first session since the international break, of course.”

“The ones that are going to play [against Leicester] are not going to be 100 per cent because they are human beings. Hopefully we can find the right balance.
“To be honest, after we played Arsenal I left for one week [on holiday]. So I don’t know the conversations between the club [and England about Colwill and Palmer’s withdrawals] went. With those players, some of them are better, some we will test today. Overall, they are much better.”
😇 𝐎𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐮𝐦:
"First of all, excited and also thankful because it was a fantastic season. I met people that are very difficult to find in football; the owner, his family, they are fantastic human beings. They care for the players, the staff, all of the people who work inside the club.
"It was a fantastic season because I met good people and then in terms of players, it was top. It was a fantastic connection between the players and the staff. This is something you need to create and I will be thankful for all of my life to that squad.
"Most of them, I am still in contact with them so there is still a connection. For me, it was a fantastic season."

Trevoh Chalobah on leaving Chelsea on loan:
“It was hard. With football, challenges have to come. You can’t separate challenges and success. I’ve been through a lot growing up. I didn’t let it affect me.
Coming in training, doing my own bit. I waiting patiently, didn’t sulk, didn’t feel sorry for myself but just got myself ready and I’m here.”
(BBCMOTD)
🗣️ John Terry on Gilchrist :
“Hopefully, he comes back to Chelsea & breaks through into our team. When you see the journeys of these young players and you play a small part in helping them it’s really rewarding for me, being Chelsea through and through.”
