Rio Ferdinand on Cole Palmer:
🗣️ "If you do go out [to mark him] like Udogie did the other day against Spurs, the left-back goes out there, quicker, stronger and more aggressive than Cole, he couldn’t even lay a glove on him! Twined him inside out, destroyed him."

Really thought we may never have a player like Zola, until I watched Eden. Also thought we may never see a cheat code like Hazard, until I got to see Cole.
Three different wizards you pay anything to watch!
Jamie Carragher: “When you think of Chelsea’s flair players like Gianfranco Zola and Eden Hazard, I think Cole Palmer has done more in 18 months than Zola did.
“He’s on the same level as Hazard and that came over four or five years.”(SkySports)
Enzo Maresca on Cole Palmer:
“We are happy, not only with the goals. He is learning how to play against teams very tight to him. He’s doing fantastic.”
Cole Palmer on his Chelsea team-mates:
"Good squad morale. Everyone's getting on. We've won five in a row. Hopefully we can keep winning."

Cole Palmer:
"Good. We got three points but started slow. We knew we'd create chances and thankfully we won."
Cole Palmer on his #Chelsea team-mates:
"Good squad morale. Everyone's getting on. We've won five in a row. Hopefully we can keep winning."
Cole Palmer on comeback vs Spurs:
"We knew they [goals conceded] were just two mistakes. He [Cucurella] slipped. You can't do anything about it. They didn't create much apart from our mistakes."
Cole Palmer on his penalties vs Spurs:
"[The first one], well I just tried to score, and I did. [The second one] I stepped back and knew I was going to do it so I did [panenka]."
Cole Palmer on #Chelsea fans:
"They've had a tough couple of years. A few years before I got here and last season was tough as well. To see them happy, smiling, singing and enjoying it is what we play for."

Enzo Maresca on Chelsea’s 4-3 win over Tottenham [A] in the Premier League:
💪 “It’s an important win, firstly for the way it arrived, because to come in this stadium against this team and concede two goals, and then continue with the same plan on and off the ball, shows how the players are mentally strong.
“We are trying to work with the players on an off the pitch, but we’re also trying to work on mentality and togetherness. To come in this stadium and think you are going to win without suffering is impossible.
“For that, probably it’s the perfect win because two goals down, it was the worst picture for us, even if we were in control. We conceded two goals from Cucu, we created chances, we controlled the game, we kept the ball. At half-time we changed something tactically, and second half we deserved to win.”
🧠 𝐎𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟-𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
“There was no problem first half. The plan was working well, we were attacking and controlling the game after conceding two goals. I was very happy.
“The only thing was watching the way they were pressing. First half we had Cole Palmer on one side, and Enzo Fernandez on the other. Second half we had [Cole] Palmer on one side, and [Marc] Cucurella on the other, and we changed something in behind. It was for this reason, it worked quite well and we won the game.”
🗣️𝐎𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞:
“After the game, my message to the players was to be focused day by day, in the next game, because if you start to think about where we are in three or four games, it’s completely wrong.
“Enjoy the day off with the family and friends, and when we come back, go again with 100 per cent, train well, get ready for the next game and improve day by day.”
🤕 𝐎𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨 𝐋𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟-𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞:
“Unfortunately he felt something in his hamstring in the last minutes of the first-half. Now, he was working without pain. Even if Romeo was playing fantastic in the first-half but we changed because he had a problem.”

"We deserved to win [vs Spurs]. First half we concede two goals and continued with the plan on and off the ball, mentally we were strong. We completely deserved to win the game. Very impressed from the guys."
Enzo Maresca on Spurs win:
"Overall, even the first half we were in control. Two moments we conceded two goals. We scored one and could score more then second half we were very good and created chances."
Enzo Maresca on #Chelsea's mentality:
"Not only [against Spurs]. Since we start I am very happy with all of them. Until the final whistle the game is always open, is there. For the effort we did 90 minutes, to concede in last five minutes is normal."
Enzo Maresca:
"We're very happy that the fans are here with us and can enjoy the moment."
Enzo Maresca on Jadon Sancho:
"[I'm impressed] but not only with him on the ball, also the way he is defending. Him, Pedro Neto - it is not just about goals and assists, it's about the way they work off the ball."
Enzo Maresca on Cole Palmer:
"We are happy, not only with the goals. He is learning how to play against teams very tight to him. He's doing fantastic."
Enzo Maresca:
"I really like the connection with the [#Chelsea] fans because I'm convinced we need our fans at home and away. Against Brentford, we need them with us. All together we can win and do something important."

Sanchez - 6: Poor positioning for first goal conceded and distribution looked sloppy throughout
Caicedo - 8: Fortunate perhaps to not be sent off but brilliant burst of pace to win penalty and oozed quality on ball again.
Badiashile - 5: Never looked comfortable throughout, too many lapses of concentration and sloppy passes.
Colwill - 5.5: Poor for the first goal and often found ball watching too often .
Cucurella - 5: Two silly mistakes but made up for it with an assist.
Lavia - 8: Broke lines with ease throughout the first half and never looked vulnerable in duels.
Fernandez - 8: Brilliant on and off the ball, positioning and build-up play was on another level.
Neto - 7: Decision making in final 3rd should’ve been better but showed flashes of his quality.
Palmer - 9 [MOTM]: Brilliant in build-up to Enzo’s goal, let alone the two penalties finished with class. Awarded Sky Sports’ POTM.
Sancho - 8: Solid outlet throughout, scoring a lovely goal and had Spurs defenders on the back foot with his ball retention in tight spaces.
Jackson - 6: Quite game - found it difficult aerially and struggled to break away when played in behind.
SUBSTITUTES:
Gusto - 8: Provided balance down the right flank, keeping it simple on and off the ball.
Nkunku - N/A
Madueke - N/A
Veiga - N/A
