🇷🇺🇺🇦 The situation of the Ukrainian Army in Pokrovsk worsens.
Russian troops have broken out of the city's western outskirts and are moving north to close the pocket. In the city's center, Russian DRGs were spotted at the city's northernmost limits towards the city of Rodinskoe.
In Myrnograd, Russian troops have entered the city from three sides. Ukrainian troops have still not been ordered to withdraw. Instead, the Commander-in-Chief, Alexandr Syrsky, is bringing reinforcements.
The siege of Mariupol saw ~2.800 Ukrainian troops surrender. Pokrovsk-Myrnograd may top Mariupol at this rate.

Russian troops are 2.5 miles (~4.3 km) away from cutting this highway and semi-encircling the city of Gulyaipole.

🇸🇩⚔️🇸🇩 After El Fasher fell to the hands of the RSF militia in Sudan, thousands of civilians are being killed before our eyes.
To understand the war, I made a serie of 20 MAPS on the war since 2023.
Before the war, Sudan was already split between the military junta (SAF + RSF) and neutral factions (rebels and former rebels), including Joint Darfur Forces, Sudan Liberation Army in Darfur and Sudan People Liberation Army North in the Nuba mountains of Kordofan.
The main fighting in 2023 erupted in all the main cities, with the RSF controlling the Darfur region and part of Khartoum after April 15th coup attempt. They also took the Meroe airbase and captured Egyptian and Sudanese pilots.
Then, Meroe was liberated by the SAF, but fighting continued everywhere:
-El Geneina fell (15 000 Massalit slaughtered by RSF), Khartoum battle intensifies, Darfur garrisons encircled
In November 2023, the RSF took control of most of Darfur garrisons, Nyala, Kas, Zalingei, Ed Daein and Adiela. Only El Fasher didn't fall thanks to the intervention of Joint Forces.
The SLM-A of Minnawi joined the SAF in North Darfur. RSF took control of south Khartoum.
In December 2023, the RSF, unable to capture the main bases of the armed forces in central Khartoum pushed instead to Wad Madani, in the fertile Gezira state. At the same time, it continued its offensive in West Kordofan until February.
In May 2024 most of Joint Forces of Darfur joined the SAF. The RSF pushed to Sennar and in the oilfields of Kordofan.
In June 2024, a new breakthrough happened in the south of the country, the RSF bypassed Sennar and took Singa, reaching the South Sudanese and Ethiopian borders.
In August 2024, the SAF reopened the Kosti-Sennar road, cutting Singa and taking Jebel Moya, first successful counter-offensive.
In September, the war escalated with the RSF seeking supply roads to Libya. The SAF liberated Singa and started Khartoum counter-offensive.

🇫🇷🇩🇿 A young French police officer has been rotting in prison for 15 months after shooting an Algerian migrant who broke into his grandmother’s garage.
The officer’s lawyer indicates that the officer, Éric G., is being persecuted by the courts because he is a White man who shot an Algerian.
“Basically, it was a blond man with blue eyes who shot an Algerian,” said attorney Laurent-Franck Lienard.
Remarkably, the case has not even gone to trial, well over a year after the incident. Officer Éric G. has had his request to be released while in pre-trial detention denied a total of SEVEN times, but there may be racist motivations behind efforts to keep him in prison.
The court claims Éric G.’ might "reoffend." His lawyer vehemently denies this.
“The main argument [for continued detention] is the risk of recurrence. As if he were going to find himself tomorrow morning in his grandmother’s garden with his service weapon, in front of another squatter. It makes no sense,”
On June 29, 2024, Éric G.'s grandmother heard suspicious noises in her garage in Bobigny outside Paris. The 26-year-old off-duty officer took his service weapon and investigated. Inside, he confronted the Algerian in his 94-year-old grandmother's garage.
The officer said a struggle ensued and he fired in self-defense after the man came after him with an object, which turned out to be a caulking gun.
The attorney for the Algerian man, Amar Slimani, said that continued detention "is the least we can do." The attorney, Yassine Bouzrou, says the officer is lying and did not really fear for his life.
Éric G.’s, Michelle, expressed her despair about his long-term detention.
“Why don’t they let him go out with an electronic bracelet? Why are they treating him as if he were the worst serial killer?”
She added: “My son shot to avoid dying, not to kill! What’s the point of persecuting him like this?”
Éric G.’s mother further confirmed her son is struggling in prison. In French prisons, police officers are targets and must be kept in extreme isolation.
“He has dark thoughts, it breaks my heart. He told me that if we weren’t there, he would have hanged himself already,” said the mother.
Éric G.’s grandmother died a few months ago, but the family never told her that her grandson was imprisoned to protect her.

In the northwest, Russian forces advanced further through the forests along the railway line and reached the eastern edge of Lyman. DRGs then infiltrated the city and have since been operating in the area of the freight terminals. They also established control over new parts of the forests and infiltrated further into the Masliakovka District.
To the southeast, Russian forces continued to slowly advance in Yampol. They were able to advance out of the village centre and capture some new positions in the southwestern streets. Ukrainian forces are gradually being pushed back to the southwestern edge of the settlement.
