🇫🇷🇩🇿 French courts sentenced Dahbia Benkired, the Algerian migrant who ritualistically murdered the 12 year old Lola Daviet, to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Benkired has the honour of being the 7th person to receive life in prison without parole after the Penal reform of 1994 and the first female to receive this sentence. French judges reserved this punishment for criminals who committed multiple murders, usually with the victims being female, killed after they were raped.

The last two people to receive life in prison without parole were Salah Abdeslam, in 2022, for participating in the 2015 Bataclan terrorist attacks which killed 130 people in Paris. He was the only jihadist to survive the ordeal and Brahim Aouissaoui, a Tunisian migrant who, just a few days after crossing the Mediterranean in a small boat, went on to behead a priest and two parishioners in a Catholic church in Nice back in 2020.

🇨🇳☢️🇺🇸 How China Raced Ahead of the U.S. on Nuclear Power

China is quickly becoming the global leader in nuclear power, with nearly as many reactors under construction as the rest of the world combined. While its dominance of solar panels and electric vehicles is well known, China is also building nuclear plants at an extraordinary pace. By 2030, China’s nuclear capacity is set to surpass that of the United States, the first country to split atoms to make electricity.

Many of China’s reactors are derived from American and French designs, yet China has overcome the construction delays and cost overruns that have bogged down Western efforts to expand nuclear power.

At the same time, China is pushing the envelope, making breakthroughs in next-generation nuclear technologies that have eluded the West. The country is also investing heavily in fusion, a potentially limitless source of clean power if anyone can figure out how to tame it.

Beijing’s ultimate objective is to become a supplier of nuclear power to the world, joining the rare few nations — including the United States, Russia, France and South Korea — that can design and export some of the most sophisticated machines ever invented.

The Trump administration wants to quadruple U.S. nuclear power capacity by 2050, even as it ignores global warming, and it hopes to develop a new generation of reactor technology to power data centers at home and sell to energy-hungry countries overseas. Officials fear that if China dominates the nuclear export market, it could expand its global influence, since building nuclear plants abroad creates deep, decades-long relationships between countries.

Yet in the race for atomic energy, China has one clear advantage: It has figured out how to produce reactors relatively quickly and cheaply. The country now assembles reactors in just five to six years, twice as fast as Western nations.

While U.S. nuclear construction costs skyrocketed after the 1960s, they fell by half in China during the 2000s and have since stabilized, according to data published recently in Nature. (The only two U.S. reactors built this century, at the Vogtle nuclear plant in Waynesboro, Ga., took 11 years and cost $35 billion.)

During the negotiation in Spain, the US delegation threatened more semiconductor control measures against China.

Li Chenggang then picked up the phone and ordered the anti-monopoly investigation against Nvidia during the meeting, right in front of Scott Bessent's face.

On the issue of US threatening to impose docking fees on ships built in China; We told the US delegation, that we will impose crippling rare earth export control bans if they go through with it.

Bessent didn't believe the warning, he didn't even fully convey our position on this matter to Trump, which is why Trump was so blindsided when the rare earth export control went into effect, claiming in his Truth Social post that "it came out of nowhere".

It's obvious Trump would be angry at Bessent, who then needs to blame someone on the Chinese side, Li Chenggang who basically slapped Bessent in the face is the obvious target.

Bronchand opens the interview admitting that immigration has been bad for France but rules out civil war as a result of it. Instead, he believes the ultimate effects of France's decades long unrestricted immigration policy will result in France failing to secure safety and prosperity for its citizens, thus becoming a 3rd world country.

Bronchand notes that a civil war or revolutions like the 1848 and 1870 Communes, where ideologues managed to create parallel societies is unrealistic because, as he put it, "for the indigenous inhabitants of France, political violence is not fashionable. The former director of the DGSE then says that the decline of state authority and the rupture of the social fabric will be cause by migrants acknowledging that despite decades after first arriving here, even 4th generation immigrants haven't lost all the "baggage" from their original home. Pierre Bronchand explicitly says that the Global South "seeks to take revenge on the Global North" and that this desire hasn't subsided no matter how long the immigrants have been living in France for.

A majority African and Muslim France is "inevitable" and will happen way before the beginning of the 22nd century said Bronchard with interethnic violence becoming the new normal for the French people. Bronchard says that France's demographic transformation will end only when it becomes unattractive to foreigners to move in, the actual enforcement of deportation orders, harsher criminal penalties for migrant offenders.

🇺🇸 Subprime lender files for chapter 11 bankruptcy!

PrimaLend Capital Partners filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Wednesday, in another sign that low-income consumers in the United States are under strain.

The company's filings in a Texas court showed that it listed both assets and liabilities of less than $500 million.

Subprime lenders provide loans to borrowers with weaker credit histories or lower credit scores, typically at higher interest rates to offset the increased risk of default.

Last month, Bloomberg News reported that PrimaLend's creditors were weighing pushing the firm into bankruptcy after going unpaid for months.

Tricolor, which sold cars and provided auto loans mostly to low-income Hispanic communities in the Southwestern United States, also filed for bankruptcy protection in September.

"An FPV drone with a large battery flies around the front line, hovering over fields and villages. Video is recorded simultaneously on an SD card in several frequency bands. Upon return, the video is analyzed. The task is to find the locations of FPV pilots who take off with low VTX power. Distant interception points do not detect weak signals, but the radio reconnaissance drone captures the image well at milliwatt levels," writes Sergey Beskrestnov.

The crews controlling UAVs are a priority target for both sides, as drones are currently the main weapon in this war.

Ukraine admitted to using British StormShadow missiles last night in a strike on a chemical plant in Bryansk Oblast and the Smolensk Thermal Power Plant plunging the city into darkness.

On top of this, Treasury secretary, Scott Bessent, said that Trump will place new sanctions on Russia in the coming hours.

This comes after a telephone conversation between Foreign Secretary, Marco Rubio, and foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov, with Rubio failing to get Lavrov to ask Putin to halt the offensives in Ukraine.

🇪🇺 The European Commission just launched consultations for EU-wide house & apartment price and rent controls!

The Climate Action Network NGO is lobbying hard for the EU to enshrine the "right to affordable housing" noting that since 2015, on average, home prices rose by 53% across the EU, in some countries by more than double of the EU average.

Of course, the CAN NGO blames real-estate developers and landlords for the lack of affordable housing and soaring rents and ask the Commission to force real-estate companies to allocate 5-10% of the new homes they build to "social housing programs" and empower local governments to deny property rights in order to make use of vacant and dilapidated housing.

Despite the growing pressure on EU authorities to fix the housing bubble plaguing many of the union's cities, a few days ago, the EU announced 42 billion EURs for the student-exchange Erasmus program specifically meant to bring in more "students" from Africa and the Middle East.

Truth is, the only solution to soaring rents and unaffordable housing is #remigration. The housing bubble in European cities is a direct result of the uncontrolled levels of legal immigration. Illegal immigration can play a role too but it has much less of an impact than legal immigration as legal immigrants can rent houses without fear of being deported.

If the European Commission was interested in offering a real solution to the housing problem they would implement #remigration right away but instead, their solution as presented on their website, is empowering national governments to give state subsidies and other forms of public compensation to households who "are not able, due to market outcomes and notably market failures, to access housing at affordable conditions".

It is not the fault of the market that some people, young people especially, cannot find cheap rents or buy a home early in their adulthood. It is the fault of bad immigration policies enforced and defended at all costs by leftist and center-right governments across the EU.

This is the EU cycle 🔄: the EU breaks something ➡️ people get upset and demand change ➡️ the EU through national and local govs pays them a token financial compensation to get them to shut up and the problem remains and worsens over time which necessitates even more compensation & so on and so forth.
