What is interesting about that halftime show is that it seems like they almost deliberately leaned away from militant wokeism. Unlike the late 2010s and early 2020s, the show didn’t feel like they were intentionally giving white people the middle finger at every opportunity.

Obviously there was political messaging but it was framed in a way that can plausibly be considered inclusive to normal people.

No transvestites, nothing explicitly anti-American, nothing about Trump or immigration. There was an American flag and he said “God bless America.”

The White Right has to contend with this more subversive, tactful expression of multiculturalism/Leftism which isn’t as openly antagonistic. We have to be honest about what it is.

The two judges overseeing this case were split, one wanting to throw out the case while the other wanted to send Georgescu to trial. A 3rd judge was brought in to break the stalemate and he ruled in favor of sending this case to trial.

This is the first of the two criminal investigations targeting Călin Georgescu, the other one being the investigation accusing him and several other people of "attempting to usurp the constitutional order" of Romania.

The case sent to trial today began in July 2025 when Georgescu was accused of "promoting the cult of personality of individuals guilty of committing genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes" and promoting in public "fascist, legionary, rasist or xenophobic ideas, concepts or doctrines" with the prosecution claiming that Călin Georgescu has attempted through his many public appearances, to make the Iron Guard and Archangel Michael's Legion to be perceived in a positive light.

Archangel Michael's Legion was an interwar Romanian political movement founded by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu seeking to preserve the borders of Greater Romania, uphold Christian-Orthodox values and fight against foreign and communist interference in Romanian internal affairs.

The Iron Guard was founded as the "paramilitary" organisation of the movement in 1930 while Romania was hit by the Great Depression. Although it had a militaristic structure and system of command, its members did not have the right to bear arms and their activity consisted of helping the needy and poor which made them extremely popular among the peasantry and poor townsfolk.
