Webb telescope reveals long-lived dust shells around multiple Wolf-Rayet stars

Cosmic dust does far more than float through space. It's the raw material from which stars, planets and possibly even life emerge. Yet astronomers have long puzzled over where this vast amount of dust comes from and what it's made of.

Yeah! The atmospheric function is centred around earthly values. Since we are the only life forms known till now..maximum factors are earth-centric (which you just described)

Cool but also introduce medium function the planet should atleast be the same medium as our atmosphere so that the conditions and concentration of air mixture is ideal

I used the wrong term singularity

Читать полностью…

Astronomy/Astrophysics

It's like a glass of water. The water inside (singularity) doesn't have a defined shape but the object we are talking about is the glass of water, not just water or not just glass. So yea the shape would be the boundary with is the shape of the glass🍷

Astronomy/Astrophysics

Yep beyond the event horizon it's just space time curvature

Читать полностью…

Astronomy/Astrophysics

Yea ofc the event horizon is a spherical boundary right. So that's what we define a blackhole as. A region of space where the gravitational gradient is greater than c. That region has a spherical shape

If anyone is interested or involved in any research or work related to the astro field kindly guide me. I surfed through online I only got lessons and stuff I wanted to do something practical like data analysis or some other works. I am willing to learn. If need I can send my CV too

Astronomers investigate pulsar PSR J1930+1852 and its pulsar wind nebula

Using NuSTAR and XMM-Newton satellites, astronomers from New York University (NYU) Abu Dhabi have observed a pulsar known as PSR J1930+1852 and its pulsar wind nebula (PWN). Results of the observational campaign, published in The Astrophysical Journal, yield more insights into the PWN and the pulsar that powers it.

Blackhole ≠ singularity, blackhole= the region inside the event horizon, which has a spherical boundary

Читать полностью…

Astronomy/Astrophysics

It actually doesn't have any shape.

Astronomy/Astrophysics

The event horizon has a shape not for the singularity
