broken like shards of glass
push and pulled
by life struggles
tortured by this so called love
He's lost
lost within this pitch darkness
Lurking within his mind
are demons of his 'own' making
taunting Him with good turned bad memories

Seeking an escape
a way to erase his pain
to have an everlasting peaceful bliss

Good morning/evening depending on your time zone. For those who don't know me, I'm symon saich AKA Modern Romeo.
I'd say this is my 4th year since I commenced into this beautiful world of art; poetry.
Poetry is an art, it's life itself. It's been truly a thrilling beautiful yet challenging journey since '17 I know many of you didn't know me back then, but it's a been a pleasure-filled and educating journey.
For a while, I've been trying different forms of writing (short stories biographies etc) and I've found out my zeal, passion for writing is gradually dwindling mainly for different reasons one of plagiarism arise and also my tight schedule.
To my fellow dedicated fans.
I appreciate all your effort comments criticism in helping me grow myself to where I'm now, but I'm doing my pause on writing (publicly). For those who would like to still follow my work here's my blog( www.artatheartpoetry.wordpress.com) and hopefully one day, it will be a self-hosted blog. In there you'll find most of my work and I'll appreciate the views, reads and reviews.

MASKED.

No one;
no one ever knows the pain i hide,
no one knows the tears behind my eyes,
the tears i shed.
No one ever hears the pain i harbor,
within my heart and soul.
No one will ever see the scars i bore,
for they'll just taunt me,
calling me a coward,
a disgrace to manhood.
the yells, the names ,
the fowl words they call me,
no one will ever know.
No one ever feels the cuts on my body,
the self inflicted pain,
no one cares.
No one wonders why i'm a loner,
why i lock myself in my room all day.
My soul is torn, so is my heart,
my life is in disary,
my breathing's laboured.
i just wish death is near!
No one knows,
No one cares,
No one will ever see,
for my mask is always on.

Sometimes I wonder what my world would be,
without you in it.
in reality, I wouldn't be myself without you.
Every time I see the pain in your eyes,
a part of my heart dies.
I feel empty and incomplete,
Oh, how I need you so!
Hurting you is the last thing,
I ever wanted to do.
I know you've heard it a million plus one time,
from people who have hurt you before,
but this I say sincerely,
I'M SORRY!
Darling, I'm a mess,
I'm deeply gutted and pained,
that I've done this to you,
it hurts me to hurt you.
You're the one who's hurt,
but I'm the one who's crying,
you're the one with wounds,
but I'm still not recuperating.
I love you with every part of me,
yes, my mouth contradicted my heart
I acted so thoughtlessly
my actions and thoughts afar
Forgive my disdain, my mistake

When I look into the future,

there's no way i can make it go away

Love Dud.

I'm drifting through life's ebbs and flows,
walking aimlessly amidst this turmoil within.
When will I have someone ;
someone to love and care for,
whilst she does the same in return,
someone to be with for a lifetime,
not a foundation for another love story,
someone I can be her only one.
I want someone to love me,
and make me feel Alright.
Someone to hold me and make me feel worthwhile,
Someone to love me for who I'm,
with my flaws and imperfections.
some to hold dear and near,
someone to laugh with,
share life's experiences with,
As I do the same for her.
I can't help it and wonder,
I'm I destined to be alone?

Love's Clown.

I remember the good things we used to share,
the moments therein.
As I write this, memories flood me,
Reminiscing me of all we used to be,
I'm plagued by the memories of you now you're gone.
It all seemed so surreal and true,
Looked at you as you were my forever,
Like castles in the air,
it all came crashing down,
That's when I realized I'm a fool,
a clown of love.
My heart cracked as you pulled away,
My soul shattered as you went away,
I was confounded as you told me,
that today was the day.
There are nights when you're all that's on my mind,
There are days when I can't get out of bed.
I hope happiness you shall find.
I know that loves rare,
But your loss I hard to bear,

thoughts contemplating madness, suicide.
"be strong hold on" friends used to say.
pain and suffering day in day out
last thoughts of the life lived,
family 'friends' places,
run through His Mind
slits or noose?
which item is more quicker
giving up quiting letting go
ceasing among the living
with one last act of courage
selfishness courage
the noose it is
one more ounce of pain

Clouds of Pain.

Walking into a tsunami
Swimming, hard against the waves
Slowly the tide taking over
taking you places you don't wanna be.
that's how I feel when my truth I have to hide.
It's been long,
Pretending I'm really happy
forgotten how it felt to be happy
forgotten all the good times
on the inside, all I want to do is cry
I don't see light at the end
only dark abyss stare back at me
slowly devouring the flicker of light left within me
this dark thought I have
the self cuts on my body I have
self-hatred, sickening things I wanna do
under this dark clouds of pain
I can't go on anymore
maybe I'm better off dead

I had waited for it, searched for it,
earned it, held it.
Watched it gradually grow,
only for it to thaw, dry out.
Leaving me barely standing,
alone in the dark,
with a gaping hole in my chest.
Every morning I see your face,
and for a second I find myself in a different place;
a place Where happiness and joy reign,
a place where we walked hand in hand, in love
And the next minute I'm fully awake.
Realization sets in, I'm all alone,
out in the cold again
I check my phone in case you texted or called,
only an empty screen with your smiling face on it.
I wither up inside as all my hopes disappear.
Now that you left me, baby,
I'll never love again.
My heart I throw it in the dark abyss.
Maybe I'll cry a river, it will take time
Or forever,
But I'll build a bridge and get over it!

Let us embrace,
like dew kisses the grass good morning.
Indulge in the hues of scarlet and lilac,
until the salutation of the sun.
In the stillness of the morning hue,
our souls will whisper sweet melodies,
our heartbeats synchronizing.
The fondness of touch will compose a concerto,
on your flawless skin, I'll write sonnets,
along with the bareness of your innocence,
I'll lose my sense.
I will hold you like an ink pen,
Feel the sensations as ink flows,
to the tip and unto the paper.
Pulsate like a passionate artist,
caressing soft linen and satin canvas.

Mixed Emotions.

I could ask you to stay,
Maybe longer or forever,
but there's no reason why,
nothing left to say.
As I write this, memories flood me,
reminding me of how we used to be.
Even when things were critical,
even when happiness turned to anger,
I never thought this was gonna end.
Our broken hearts love I thought we could mend,
but it's all gone and forgotten.
Now that you've left me,
I've got no energy to cry,
no way to say goodbye.
I knew it was over,
when we started doing our things,
Days went by without speaking or sending a text.
I guess we naturally grew apart,
you got so distant and I was alone.
Why did something so special have to die,
this hurts deeply my heart.
Every day I put on a smile,
even if it pretends,
keeps me sane for a while.

Ever since I met you,

STOP ACTING VICTIM

I always hear ladies say "He just used and dumped me, after all I suffered with him, after all I did for him ".

My dear friend, if you didn't give him your kidney, sell your father's land or give him a loan to start a business, you did nothing.

That you drank water with him is because you're also broke. If not, you would have prepared a decent meal. That you stayed in the gutters or under the bridge with him is not a sacrifice, because if you had a palace, you wouldn't have done that.

About using you, my dear, if it was a mutual agreement between both of you, then you shouldn't say he used you. You both had fun and used yourselves.

The only reason you feel hurt and left out is because you abandoned yourself in his shadow. You lost yourself in him. While he is staying out at night thinking outside the box, while he's setting goals and achieving them, you were busy counting the days, waiting for him to blow or hammer. While he was investing in his future, you left yours stagnant without any meaningful long term plans. A young guy is struggling to survive, struggling to make it, but you will come in the name of girlfriend to ask him money for hair, shoes, cream, soap, pad, undies, thereby spending what he's supposed to be saving or investing, and in the end, you begin to wail on how he used and dumped you after suffering with him.

My dearest sisters, my point is, stop supporting him in bed. Start supporting his dreams, ideas, and vision. As he's struggling to establish himself, strive to make yourself relevant, add values to yourself, make your own money, too. Don't depend totally on him.

If you don't contribute anything tangible either in cash, assistance, anything that's progressive or crucial towards his success, don't play victim if he gets tired of the relationship.

Times have changed. Men are no longer the only ones winning bread, women are now bread winners, too.

Sex is not enough!

Love is not enough!

Have a purpose!
