In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces continued their assault operations in Mala Tokmachka and have made new progress.

After regaining the initiative and expanding their foothold in the eastern part of Mala Tokmachka again, Russian forces continued advancing west and have captured new positions along the highway north of the ruins of the prison. They also improved their positions in the streets to the north, approaching the centre of the village.

+ ~0.44 km² in favour of Russia.

The Ukrainian GUR reports that Russia has added a new anti-air modification to their Geran-2 drones.

These Geran-2 drones can be equipped with a "Verba" anti-aircraft missile. All drones equipped with Verba missiles are directly controlled by drone operators in real time, using an optical camera in the nose of the drone.

This allows the drone operator to remotely launch the "Verba" missile in the event of a Ukrainian aircraft being detected.

Geran-2 drones recently gained the ability to be equipped with R-60 anti-aircraft missiles, however the main difference with this new drone is that they still have their usual 90 kg warhead. This means that even after firing its missile, the drone can still carry out its primary task of striking a target. This action can also be controlled by the drone operator.

I wrote about this during the previous attack, and I am doing it again now because its become clear. In recent strikes, Russia has clearly changed its tactics for carrying out large scale missile attacks on Ukraine involving Tu-95MS/Tu-160M strategic bombers.

For the past 3 to 4 years, Olenya Air Base served as the main base for combat flights, with bombers taking off from there ahead of any strike. Dyagilevo and Engels 2 were also used in combat strikes.

Now the pattern has changed. Bombers take off directly from the Far East already ready for combat and fly towards launch zones in western Russia, where they launch cruise missiles at Ukraine. After that, the aircraft land at Engels 2 to refuel and rearm before returning to the Far East.

The last Ukrainian defences in the besieged city of Myrnohrad are being breached by Russian forces, who have now entered the city centre.

The parts of the pocket still under firm Ukrainian control have decreased to around 2.8 km², compared to ~36 km² at the beginning of the siege.

Nevertheless, Russian FAB glide-bombs continue to strike the remaining blocks still under Ukrainian control. This video shows a FAB-1500 strike on a high-rise apartment building.

Over the last few days, the defence of Siversk has completely collapsed.

A fortress city that the Russians couldn't reach for nearly 4 years is about to be captured after just a week of fighting.

If this isn't a sign of how bad Ukraine's manpower shortages have got, I don't know what is.

Last night, another combined missile and drone attack was carried out on the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast.

Among the targets hit were the main power plant and the oil refinery. NASA FIRMS picked up a large fire burning at the refinery, despite heavy cloud cover over the city.

3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles were launched from the vicinity of Kursk City, Kursk Oblast - one of which was equipped with a cluster warhead. The Iskanders likely targeted the refinery.

Approximately 50 Geran-2 drones were also used. They likely primarily targeted energy infrastructure.

New satellite imagery reveals that Russia has installed a large number of new hangars for storing Geran-2 drones at Donetsk International Airport. Each of these hangars fits one drone and are used for storage right before launches are carried out.

Additionally, a total of 4 static ramp launchers are visible, along with one lane for vehicle-based launches. These upgrades are part of a larger effort observed at various launch points aimed at facilitating for increased production rates of drones, allowing for increased numbers to be used during large-scale attacks.

An explosion was heard in Sumy, likely from the launch of a patriot missile which intercepted the Russian missile.

The following was hit:

- "Bohodukhiv" 110 kV electrical substation in the city of Bohodukhiv by several drones. Widespread power outages were reported [Media 2].

- Unknown target in the city of Izyum by at least 2 drones [Media 1].

- Unknown target in the city of Zlatopil.

- Unknown target in the area of the city of Merefa.

- Unknown target in the town of Pechenihy by multiple drones.

- Unknown target in the city of Lyubotyn.

- Unknown target in the town of Velykyi Burluk by at least 3 drones.

I'm aware of Deepstate's update on Kupyansk, and quite frankly I don't care.

Those who map UKRAINIAN advances based off a UKRAINIAN source who is under constant pressure from the SBU are naive at best, and propagandists at worst.

I'm not saying this map isn't correct, as the situation is indeed critical for Russian forces in the city, but we will need a lot more to say for certain that this is true.

Footage shows Cambodian troops crossing a recently planted Thai barbed wire point, as well as taking down the Thai flag, replacing it with a Cambodian one. Most of the village is under Cambodian control.

I want to be clear with this now: I want nothing to do with betting or gambling on the war in Ukraine.

Recently, following the ISW fraud controversy with Polymarket, I keep seeing people suggest that my maps and reports should be used as a deciding factor for determining the outcome of bets. One of those such posts got over 1.6 million views.

I even had the "Pentagon Pizza Watch" account reach out to me asking if my map could be embedded in his external betting service. He proceeded to get angry at me when I pointed out how immoral and scummy it was, and how when he used Deepstate's API, it ultimately got their service temporarily taken down, leaving many people - including humanitarian aid workers - in the dark.

Betting on a war where hundreds of thousands of people are dying and millions are suffering is immoral and disgusting, and I will never support it or take part in any of it. Your actions on the internet have real life consequences, even if they aren't immediately apparent and obvious to you.
